While there are some passing resemblances to Egoist, this video shows how the workflow is much more flexible and deep and intuitive. You can also do similar things in Loopy Pro as @espiegel123 has shown but, again, the workflow with LoopMix is much more powerful, flexible, and easy. I’m in when it appears for iOS!

@lukesleepwalker its out already on ipad

Whoops, off to download! Thanks for the alert. :)

  • I really wish being able to load this as an fx unit to record direct into the plugin, like a regular looper.

  • Is there an ETA on multi-out for iOS? That's been requested for their other apps, like Playbeat, but hasn't happened yet.

I can’t work out how to load my own samples into the iPad version. What am I missing?

    EDIT: ok, worked it out.

Ah dang that’s totally what I thought this would be ideal for in my case…

I just bought it. 12.8 MB in size! 👍

The greenest of flags. Insta buy

This, this, this. As it is, it's a useful tool. It would become indispensable to me if you could record directly into it.

+10 … It’s great as it is, but those features with live audio input possibility would be an absolute killer!

This release will be very very popular, I'm predicting

@NeuM have u let them know about the problems? They're very very responsive, any time I ask them a question using twitter I usually get an answer almost immediately

It's a bit awkward because these are free apps and I don't want to look like some entitled person on the Internet bothering them over something I haven't paid for.

With rare exceptions, developers want to know about things that don’t work. The more detail the better so that they can reproduce it. A video demo (screen recording) is usually appreciated.

  • I should be saving money but I went ahead and bought it….. lol hopefully it will add some cool stuff to my newly found koala love. I guess you could make a loop with koala and start mixing it/them with Loopmix. What other type of workflow would you use this in?

  • I think I’ll opt for the desktop version. Looks like quickly dragging and dropping will help the workflow.

Probably get the iPad version also at some point as can see myself using both versions a lot

Drum and bass heads and glitch artists rejoice - this is insane!

Want to see how ambient artists use it though…

    Sooon sooooon 😉

That's exactly the flow I was thinking about. I decided to give it a go as well. Multi-out is a big request for me.

  • Is this more advanced than Looperator?

  • I can see a MIDI export option. Not sure if this is of any use with external MIDI gear. Is this just the sequencing of the loop pitch, or is it possible to use LoopMix for both audio and MIDI loops ?

Looks nice. Anyone thinking that the density ratcheting should have the option to do some volume randomization to lessen the robotic effect? I submitted a request for this.

Yes. 6 channels of audio simultaneously being manipulated. Yes yes yes. 😉

Watch the videos and be amazed of the sonic possibilities.

And drag/drop from Files. These videos barely touch the surface.[in reference to the Loopy Pro slice/dice videos]

  • I can't seem to be able to drag and drop, this would make it so much easier to import samples

The desktop version looks great, but you can’t test it with your own audio clips!

If I love Egoist, will I like this? €49 is a good price, but not if you can’t test it out first.

There is a demo (trial) @ Plugin Boutique.

  • Thinkking about the ios version and wondering if there's any audible artifacts between the cuts?

    Nothing, it's perfect

This plus ableton note is just heaven

  • Hafta say taking a mixed beat from Loopmix into Egoist gets the babies boiling...
