Thinkking about the ios version and wondering if there's any audible artifacts between the cuts?

    Nothing, it's perfect

This plus ableton note is just heaven

I see you and I know what you're trying to do 👀

Is there a way to manually assign tempo to your own samples in this? It read the correct tempo for an imported drum loop sample with the BPM in the title and clear transients, but I imported an instrumental from a demo song from a while back as a test and Loopmix was clearly timestretching it way wrong.

Added a sample to the shared sample folder .But it doesn't show up in the shared samples folder in the auv3 in aum, only in standalone. Anyone else?

Reminds me of the old regroover app on desktop, but much better.

Pretty sure you have to add samples to standalone first. No drag and drop from the files app.

They should add the spleeter algorithm as an iap. Drop one loop in there and split elements it into the lanes.

    Reedits for days.

  • Managed to get samples in via the shared sample folder I assume that’s correct?

I just clicked on the + and navigated through the files app to the sample (a rifler loop )

Cheers was copying a folder across it worked ok.

This is so well thought, comprehensive and balanced; I'm floored.
Up to 64 slices! Healthy amount of scales for pitch!
So many options for controlling the randomness yet it still alls maintains a cleanliness and pleasant UX.
And being able to store and switch between different settings on the keyboard? 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

This is a no-brainer for me.

Still have to mention one major thing though:
So I was watching their video and seeing how the 2x and 4x speeds bork the transients on the drums and thought 'if they used the Rubberband algorithm, they have options to choose between tonal and transient.' You can see these kinds of option in Koala's stretch settings.

Then I see they show the formant options for tonal clips and mention Zynaptiqs algo, which is awesome.
But regardless of them allowing options for tonal content, the transient killing 2x/4x speed options are an issue.

These are the options you can get from the Rubberband algo and they make a huge difference:

Please AudioModern if you're reading this, fit it in somehow. You did for tonal content. 🙏🏽

This is the method I ended up using for the auv3

  • In addition to published prices...
My "complete your suite" price for desktop as an owner of all other (generator) products was 46 euro.
I got an email loyalty coupon from Audio Plugin Deals for an extra $5 USD off $49 which is about the same as 46 euro.

Was hoping the iOS version would be in a bundle with Riffer, ChordJam, and Playbeat 3 but it does not appear to be (yet).

  • I've passed on those messages above about transients and tempo to the devs. 1 hour walkthrough video is uploading (horribly slowly) now and will have a giveaway for any 3 Audiomodern apps / plugins for ios / desktop 😉

  • Right on, this is awesome. Their plug-ins have been becoming my entire workflow lately when I’m in the creative process

    Ah, thanks Gav

  • Many steps better than similar apps. User samples aren't showing up in Auv3 as mentioned. Only crashes I've had with it are with files over a minute long.

  • Does anyone know if the current price is an intro price?

And there is still an improved Riffer to come… hopefully soon..

  • Loopmix seems PERFECT for adding audio capability to just midi host... like Drambo... and NS2

Looks great but seems really drummy.
Anyone know how the slicing works on smoother transients? Can you push or pull the audio so such softer transients can snap to the grid (like in Ableton)?

  • Anyone able to answer if the offset is adjustable for non quantised loops? That you can slip the audio a small amount back or forth to line up off the grid transients?

    Cheers if anyone can answer

“Non quantized” is a better way of asking my question (just above).
    So… seconded…

Also, kind of brutal there’s no multi-out with these apps. Is it really hard to implement?

  • I’ve been trying it on baselines and would be great if it had envelopes for each slice so you could add an attack to ramp into the sound rather than in at full volume.

I had a couple that were 30 seconds, maybe they were causing the crashes - I’ve kicked them out and will see how it goes.

Weirdly I can see my user samples in AUM though.

Is this more advanced than Looperator?

Yes. 6 channels of audio simultaneously being manipulated. Yes yes yes. 😉

Watch the videos and be amazed of the sonic possibilities.

    Interesting, thanks! :)

is this ipad only? or iphone too?

luv it!! here’s hoping if dev does well with it maybe a 4 track sketch type app for iphone or even could include it in a universal binary. not sure if app store rules still forbid IAP unlocking functionality by device type so maybe just a straight up price increase if that gets added. 🤔

i also greatly appreciate that the dev is supporting this all the way back to ios11. have an old 3rd gen (yeah the original really short lived and perplexing ipad generation imho) that just runs samplr. unexpected but welcome new audio mangling ally... 😂

  • @monz0id message the devs - I did have one crash while making the vid which made me have to abandon the entire thing and start from scratch - but mostly it’s been stable

See my vid in the other thread - I’ve asked for some kind of attack / decay control: contact the devs, the more people ask for stuff the more likely it is to happen!

Not sure, but I’m pushing HARD for it, and so should anyone who wants it

I may be wrong but I think the ability to have drag and drop would mean pushing it to only be available on more recent iOS updates. Might be wrong, anyone know?

  • Actually, that user shared folder isn’t available in AUV3 yet. That’s not a bug. Proper way to get user samples in AU is standalone to packs for now.
