Dear @imtim , too bad, but no!, it is still doing it. After a restart Logic now is able to instantiate Wotja, but it plays for about 5 min, then the CPU goes into red, with crackling. when selecting another track inside Logic, the CPU goes down, when reselecting the Wotja-track, CPU goes red. With another track selected then Wotja stops sounding (still playing, but only sending Midi (all other tracks are sounding)… When closing the project now, and re-opening it, Wotja doesn‘t load…
Disclosure: I am working with very slow movements over a very long playing time (5 hours…), thus it is essential for me to have Wotja (as the heart of my setup) play reliably for long periods.
Will still test AUM-setup and keep you updated.
All works well with Wotja Pro 21, but it would be great to be able to use W 23!,

…so I had it running in AUM for 30min without a hitch.
But if I want to open a new preset inside AUM (with Wotja 23 saved), it can‘t instantiate Wotja. Need to quit AUM completely, then restart, and it works….
(this is not something I will have to do when performing, but maybe important for somebody else…)

…continued: W23 runs reliably inside AUM, testet running for a few hours today.
The problem with switching presets remains.
Maybe related to the issue inside Logic: when a new instance of W23 is opened (in AUM), Cpu goes into red for a short half second. Like I said, it runs reliably after this, but when I press stop (in AUM), again: CPU goes into the red for a short moment…, then returns back down.
It seems, Logic has a tougher time than AUM with the same kind of issue…

We'll keep plugging away to try to resolve this for you. Sometimes however, problems can be quite hard to diagnose - once we've done that, there is generally a fix we can figure out.

@animal also, thinking around this - as it is possibly related to a specific mix you're using, or are you seeing this with all your mixes?
Either way, it'd be helpful if you could mail me a problem mix; on the off-chance that this is related to the particular approach in you mix, we can monitor it running long-term with the debugger to see if anything happens stability wise.

Couple of other questions on top of Pete's.
1) I am a bit confused - are you using Wotja in both AUM and Logic Pro at the same time?
2) As it sounds like there is a CPU/memory dimension to this, it would help us get a handle on Logic Pro issue to know, in addition to the Wotja mix file, how complex the project itself is (i.e. other sound fx/sources being, if any). Would it be possible you could mail us (https://wotja.com/contact/) the Logic Pro project file (which should also include the Wotja mix)? I could then see what happens with it on my iPad (on which I have Logic Pro installed).

@impete : the same issue happened yesterday on ipad Pro gen1 (10.5“), as well as on ipad Pro gen 3 (11“), both on Pados 16.5.1. The days before I also had the same problems with ipad Pro gen 2 (11“), same Pados, Wotja Pro version the the last.
I‘ll send you some mixes, the issue was with whatever mix I used.
@imtim : I always try to use W inside Logic first (would like to include the nice Logic-plugins…), this goes downhill pretty fast, so then I stick with my trusted AUM-projects, which run reliably (apart from the short CPU-spikes).
Will also send you the Logic-projectfile for further testing.

IMPROVED: General DSP and UI performance improvements, including better performance in terms of less CPU spiking, faster App loading and faster file thumbnail/icon processing (esp. noticeable for albums).
IMPROVED: In-App Store now displays DSP % in the status bar to give an indication of how hard the playing Wotja file is working the CPU.
IMPROVED (iOS): The Wotja AUv3 can now work with 256 I/O Buffer size in Logic Pro.
IMPROVED: Mix FX 'Custom' Override can now be used in Lite mode.
IMPROVED: Schema WJURL import from clipboard now includes the Schema file name (where available; not saved to old format schema files).
IMPROVED: Further simplification and clarification in some Wotja Store page text and several in-app messages.

I have Wotja on iPadOS, iOS, and MacOS. After a long time not running it on my Mac, I tried to load it today, and the app hangs in application not responding state. I tried
I'm running MacOS Ventura, on the last Intel model of MacBook Pro, bought in 2021. Wotja previously worked no problem on this machine.
Has anyone here had this issue with Ventura? I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but to no avail. The problem remains.

I'm new to Wotja, though I used successfully Noatikl in 2013 to base some of my compositions.
I see in Wotja a "Midi Input", I can see my keyboard "Keystation 61", but there are no instructions as to generate notes from the keyboard. anyone has tried that or any resource, I googled this for 2 hours without success.

Thanks for reporting this. Apple have removed a system Framework in tvOS 17, and that prevents Wotja tvOS from loading.
I'll fix this for the next update.

Id say I use the tv version like two-three times a month on average, maybe less. And yeah I use it as background ambience.. as it is basically just the player.
