If one of them fills a known gap in your arsenal (like you don't have a phaser), get that one. If not, go for MF-105S MuRF or MF-107S FreqBox. Just my $.02

Do AudioKit apps ever go up to $15? I have no idea...

    Not too shabby @Pxlhg

Yeah, pretty close🙃. I'm about to start a thread: "Are Pxlhg a genius or what!?" 🤣🤣 Jokes aside, I still haven't bought it, can't decide if I need it, I certainly don't feel like building and the page on Patchstorage isn't too overwhelming. Maybe I wait till fall and Black Friday and maybe get the predicted $5.99🤔

Yea, it is still kind of new to Patchstorage, I was hoping to see more on there myself. I have it but haven’t given it enough time, and watched all the the videos to really know what I’m doing. (Paul has a series that breaks down the app) I can make a basic panel, but it’s got a lot of possibilities. I’m considering Audioscope.

New AudioKit app "SNESynth: Chiptune Power!" has an intro sale price: only $2.99 (regular price will be $14.99). Offer ends soon.

I don’t understand why they keep using fake pricing policy, that price will never go up to 14.99.

It's a simplified marketing ploy employed by people who don't specialize in marketing (not that I'm a marketing person). It's annoying for people who monitor these things closely or are always informed on the status of app sales like the people reading this very thread but for the majority of "normal" (sorry, everyone) consumers, they'll check it once they hear about it and buy it if it seems sufficiently interesting, affordable and/or like a great deal and then go on with their lives. I don't like the strategy (heck, I don't like marketing mind games at all) but I'll say this...I have little interest in chiptune, was already decided on not buying this one, and yet I pushed the buy button anyway (!) because for $3 I figured it was a small ask for a little bit of fun and nostalgia even if I never use it again after an hour of play. Of course, I might be a sucker...

I'm not crazy about that kind of marketing either, if indeed it is that, but I think very few people would regret buying this at the intro price, which, at about the minimum price you'd pay for a preset pack on Gumroad, is cheap as chips.

Having looked at the price of a bag of chips the other day, I assure you this is cheaper! Shocked, I tell you.

Lol.... Bloody inflation. This is why I stay away from the UK. I like to remember it as it was a few decades back, when you could get a 10-pack of fags for a quid (am I remembering those 80s prices of my teenage years right?!) and a creme egg for 20p (or was it 15?).

Anti sale: MolliLooper has gone up in price.

KORG ELECTRIBE Wave too. Higher prices for older apps...?

  • How are people liking Audioscope? I have MidiMixer, would it still be worth it? I’m kinda guessing yeah since it has the additional mixing and mastering tools.

Yea, I guess to create urgency.

Of course it is and it's very dishonest way to sell your product, as well as that all of their apps are 2-5usd price range. Is actually anyone going to believe that? Idk

Wouldn't be the first bad decision regarding pricing... Remember the whole limited edition then it goes to 999 dollars or whatever it was? Anyway, there was kickback about that and that idea was abandoned so if people feel strongly about the difference between the intro and claimed regular price on this app, best thing would be to message the dev and share your views, I'd say

So remember king of bass started out at 3.99 and we were told it would go to 9.99 full price? I checked app sliced out of curiosity and it did go to $9.99 after the intro price…. For literally less than one day and then dropped price again. I was asked not to post screenshots because it took up space to scroll so people can go look but here is the copy paste . Just sharing since i Imagine the same will happen with this new
App of making it $14.99 for maybe just one day and then going back. Either way none of these marketing approaches are cute of creating a fake sense of urgency.

    $3.99 since Aug 21, '23
    $4.99 for 8 days Aug 13, '23
    $3.99 for 5 days Aug 08, '23
    $4.99 for 4 days Aug 04, '23
    $5.99 for 2 days Aug 02, '23
    $9.99 for < 1 day Aug 02, '23
    $3.99 before Aug 02, '23

And yeah I never understood that older approach they had about “sold out /limited edition then $999”. Though I did see a few people actually think they missed the chance because the app sold out (clearly just didn’t understand the App Store to begin with ) and so I think that also may have influenced the change,

  • agreed. They just don’t need to be doing that as a strategy. $2.99 is a great price for the new app and same with $3.99 for king of bass. Most people will still just buy it because of that, just not with the same sense of urgency.

  • Woah $4.99 per week!? Are scam apps that just tell you to download another app even allowed in the store ? It’s odd that it ever even had a cost of $4.99. if anyone decided to do the free trial make sure you saw this that it’s 4.99 per week after.

And, just a heads up, upon installation, this app immediately prompts you to GET their new version of “Speak 4 Me”, which has a free trial, but ultimately becomes a subscription at $4.99 (USD) per WEEK. Which is going to be a huge hell to the No from me.

Yup. Are you having trouble with images on appsliced? It’s been weird since yesterday, I haven’t restarted, but closed it, reloaded it, deleted cookies… and the app icons are blank.
