I recommend this one. I don’t have the Blue Mangoo one so I can’t compare but this one is great. Especially if you have an app like Pianoteq, PSP, etc that has acoustic guitar sounds. Really makes them shine (and obviously if you have a real guitar as well lol).
Did you ever get it @Gavinski? Bc it’s on sale now.
Thanks for this. I tried to make it clear from my very first post that I appreciate your work here.
I don’t know how much more I can tiptoe, it seems like even my most innocuous comments will rile up folks, sometimes not even for what I’ve said, but just the way I’ve phrased an otherwise inoffensive position. Spose I gotta get used to “tone-policing,” ironically even in a music forum, lol…
OK now I’m really done here, I just wanted to acknowledge your comment. Thanks again.
I personally love the chaos of this thread
It’s not hard to scroll
And turn notify off if needed
Picked up that Nembrini Acoustic Amp…. Ohhhhh yeeeah
It’s great right? I love it for processing guitars.
For me the secret to making this thread manageable is to not subscribe and check in when I have the time. For any app in particular I want to track, there's appsliced alerts.
I didn't no, I think I asked Nembrini for a code but never heard back. I'm on a pretty strict app buying moratorium unless it's something truly exciting, I think I already spent far more than I should have in recent months with topping up to the studio version of Pianobook, and this, for me personally, doesn't fall into the exciting category, I just don't feel its something I'd use that much and could very possibly cobble together with various saturators, IRs etc. I mean pianoteq itself already has all kinds of great mic positioning features etc too
Ah yeah since you already have the pro version of Pianoteq it definitely has less to offer you. It’ll be some time before I upgrade and got it on the sale so it wasn’t a huge one for me. Definitely getting some use out of it running Pianoteq and PSPs guitars through them. I haven’t been buying nearly as much as usual myself. I feel like I already have everything covered (except Brusfri which I genuinely need and am buying this week). So anything from now on has to either be something unique or something so good and interesting I’ve just got to have it.
Stick around @GUB. You’ve been asking some good questions that others learn from as well. At its very minimum, this forum is just a way to keep in touch with music apps and ask and answer questions. You don’t actually need to do any more engagement than that.
+1 and +1

Keep in mind: Uses real fake synthesis, as opposed to fake fake synthesis.
Power Sample live is $1 off at $1.99
For those of us not fully clear on what you mean by real fake vs fake fake would you mind explaining?
Cheers!
Lol - think he is referring to something mentioned in the appstore description:

Utility/Speech Synthesis
Speak 4 Me Pro - Text to speech is free usually $4.99 - does have some trackers
AK also discounted VHS Synth by $1 now at $3.99
AI
AIssistants is free usually $.99
Audio and Video Inspector is now freemium. Was $8.99 now free with $8.99 Pro Version unlock.
OT, but wanted to share - Game
Repulsive - Skate the Sky is free was $4.99 - being removed from the App Store in 90 days, so developers made free until then, it’s this cool little hoverboard like skater game.
I don’t understand why they keep using fake pricing policy, that price will never go up to 14.99.
I've bought all of the recent Audiokit apps, but VHS Synth is easily my favorite.
And, just a heads up, upon installation, this app immediately prompts you to GET their new version of “Speak 4 Me”, which has a free trial, but ultimately becomes a subscription at $4.99 (USD) per WEEK. Which is going to be a huge hell to the No from me.
I think it is also important to note that the app store description states "BUY NOW and get FREE EXPANSION! ** 400+ Presets included FREE! **" I'm not privy to any inside info on the plans for the app, but this seems to imply that some of the additional stuff that is included free now with the sale price may only be available as an IAP later, so some additional food for thought.
It's a simplified marketing ploy employed by people who don't specialize in marketing (not that I'm a marketing person). It's annoying for people who monitor these things closely or are always informed on the status of app sales like the people reading this very thread but for the majority of "normal" (sorry, everyone) consumers, they'll check it once they hear about it and buy it if it seems sufficiently interesting, affordable and/or like a great deal and then go on with their lives. I don't like the strategy (heck, I don't like marketing mind games at all) but I'll say this...I have little interest in chiptune, was already decided on not buying this one, and yet I pushed the buy button anyway (!) because for $3 I figured it was a small ask for a little bit of fun and nostalgia even if I never use it again after an hour of play. Of course, I might be a sucker...
I'm not crazy about that kind of marketing either, if indeed it is that, but I think very few people would regret buying this at the intro price, which, at about the minimum price you'd pay for a preset pack on Gumroad, is cheap as chips.
Having looked at the price of a bag of chips the other day, I assure you this is cheaper! Shocked, I tell you.
Yea, I guess to create urgency.
