@HotStrange Its actually algorithmic I think. It’s alright but I hardly ever use it. Too many reverbs!

KB-1 is also okay but doesn’t seem to have anything super special. It’s functional.

Whoops you’re right it is! My brain knew that but my fingers didn’t apparently 😂 I probably have too many as well but $2.99 makes it hard to walk away from

Btw, speaking of Sunrizer, where is that patch randomizer hidden? :#

It is a bit hard to find if you don’t know it’s there. Hit “utils” button at top, then synth tools, then randomize. Enjoy!

Thanks a lot Poppa! That was well hidden :)

They both do, or at least have in the past. Good news is they probably both will within the next two months. I can’t guarantee it, but the week of Thanksgiving in the States, until January 1st is usually the best iOS app sales time of the year.

  • Graphic/Photo

Resize Picture is free usually $.99

    Poison 202 is 50% off at $4.99

This is just one among a variety of synths I'd really, really like to see JimAudio (the developer) bring to desktop (paid or as a free upgrade). I've had to replace all instances of it as I moved my iPadOS files to desktop.

    https://poison202.onfastspring.com/poison-202-synthesizer-plugin

"Note: current version of Poison-202 is NOT compatible with Windows. Also please note, that M1 / M2 architecture is not currently supported. However, Poison-202 can work in DAWs that run in Rosetta mode."

It hasn't been updated in years. Software running in Rosetta mode at this point is not a serious offering for customers.

. Poison-202 is a iOS must have for me. It works fine on my M2 iPad

This isn't about the iOS version, which works great. The desktop version hasn't been updated in a long time.

For as much as I use AUM it’s priceless to me and worth it at even double the current price, much less a sale. Not knocking you at all @jking just pointing out how amazing the app is.

  • It’s almost guaranteed to go on sale for Black Friday. The app deals are actually all really solid. One of the last standing markets that actually has worthwhile sales on thanksgiving week lol

But it’s worth far more than what it costs, ngl I would have prolly paid twice what they’re charging for it.

I’m curious about ApeMatrix. I mostly live in AUM but I love that AM has built in LFOs. Not sure if I’d use it enough for it to be worth it but if the price goes low enough who knows lol

That’s why I am hooked on Apematrix, the lfo’s are so easy and quick to set up on almost everything. I also like the overview of the matrix and the superquick way of/and changing of connections.

Appreciate that and I’m not trying to cheat the dev out of their hard earned cash but I’m not sure whether it’s for me so didn’t want to spend £20 on something I’m not sure of. I’ve been used to DAWs and not sure if the AUM structure would be what I want. Pity more apps don’t offer a try before you buy approach

Edit: AUM DOES keep connections when swapping plugins out, thx @Gavinski!

The workflow is…unique, very ApeSoft-y. Not as generally intuitive as AB3* or AUM (the gold standard). Is nice though not to have to scroll the screen at all, even on tiny iPhone screen.

Sadly, ApeSoft development seems to have slowed as of late, but AM still works fine and is definitely worth $6 (or even $12 if you know beforehand what you’ll use it for). I don’t use it a whole lot, but it’s proved super handy for some edge-cases.

    Just remember:
    left=out —> top=in, power ON

*except for MIDI. Anything > AB3 when it comes to MIDI.

It’s the other way round isn’t it?

That’s how I’ve always understood the routing?

Dmitrij Pavlov's Pure Acid $7.99. I'm guessing the IAPs are just for "show" support and not necessarily add any features?

Boom! Finally snagged it… been waiting for this to go on sale for a while now.

Do I need it? Nah… not really lol

    Considering this one too.
I am a huge fan of Richie Hawtin aka Plastikman. He is an absolute master of the 303.

A life performance of him at the Guggenheim museum, New York.

AUM can also do that switching out of plugins without losing connections now btw, that was added quite a while ago. The hi-res inbuilt lfos are really the standout feature for me. I keep meaning to start using apematrix more but keep forgetting to lol

    Oh I didn’t know the LFO’s were hi-res (14-bit?). Sweet!

Weird I’ve never been able to coax AUM into keeping my MIDI connections. Maybe I’m not using “replace” like I should. Hmm… Good to know either way!

Yeah, just long press on an app icon and choose 'replace' - any connections will be preserved. And yes, 14-bit in ape, which if I remember correctly, is always the case when using modulation systems native 5o a host app, and is why it's really a pity that AUM doesn't have sth similar!
