Can someone explain why Audioshare is so essential? I'm using Sample Crate right now, dividing samples by folders and I'm pretty good, what does it really add? My main daw is Cubasis, sometimes Loopy Pro.
Thanks!
Grabbed this one, thanks!!
I bought Audio Evolution Mobile Studio and I’m having problem recording midi using Helium in the AU Midi slot and Korg Module as the instrument. I haven’t a clue what I’m doing wrong. Does anyone know what to do or even if it’s possible?
Their Electric Vintage (Rhodes-style piano) and Accordion Vintage are both pretty terrific.
I haven’t really used Audioshare much since Files became a thing, to be honest
It was the GOAT in the Audiobus days
Likewise.
Thanks for asking this. I’m also curious to hear people’s thoughts. I’ve used AudioShare forever but sometimes wonder the necessity. I use the files system mostly. I guess it is handy to be able to trim etc and normalize inside AS. Anything else?
@unlink @maxwellhouser Maybe you don't need it, but It's a handy utility for managing audio and MIDI files. You can record from input, preview and play sound files with waveform display, normalize, trim, apply fades, and/or convert them. A fair number of apps have direct AudioShare support for importing/exporting. You can transfer between apps, to/from computer, email, Dropbox, and upload to SoundCloud. Not to mention you're supporting a beloved developer for a measly $3. 😉
You can read more here - https://www.kymatica.com/apps/audioshare
I bought EV today. Not bad but I like Neo Soul Keys2 way more.
I went a bit nuts and treated myself to all the Bleass effects. They're so very good. Money well spent.
I’ve only ever used AudioShare to make playlists of my songs etc and listen to them. I don’t use it for samples etc, just use files. But I think the dev is great and it’s nice and clean, straightforward, for organising my songs and listening to them on the go.
I know there are other iOS music players probably. But I like using AudioShare for that!
Does anyone know how much the red rock sounds iap unlocks are usually when not on sale. What type of discount is there applied just now?
Thanks
I use it to export MIDI between apps and I like the built in player / preview. Often I can just share the file with the app directly but that's not always possible and in that instance I really don't like saving the file in my files as it gets confusing. I don't know exactly why but having those in audio share makes it much easier for me to handle them and keep them organised
WiFi sharing (of AUM recordings) to a Windows PC, that's what I use it for.
Also, if you don’t care about auV3, Patterning 2.
Only Desktop apps are on sale I believe
AudioShare was fundamental for many years in my workflow, but I have switched to Media Assistant lately. It is free with some IAPs

Thanks! I’m gonna experiment with that patch later. Voice Bot is the only one of his I don’t have yet. Shape Synth is great, definitely recommend. I didn’t buy it for a long time thinking it was just another standard synth but it’s got a unique sound and UI with some cool features. IMO the Humble Bundle is one of the best deals on the App Store.
Actually you’re right lol I may need to scan the pic onto my iPad for later use 😆
That’s the one Apesoft app I don’t have. Always been curious about it but between AUM, Loopy Pro, Drambo, and Cubasis, I’m not sure I’d ever use it. Love the in built LFOs though.
For $5.99 may be worth it to try lol decisions decisions…
It depends on the app but they’re usually between $4.99-$8.99.
In the early days Audiobus was really all we had. There was no files app so it was a super important app to have. There are other apps now, including Apples own, so it seems less necessary. I still have it because I still have a couple apps that only import samples via Audioshare. It’s also really handy for managing recordings in AUM. You can record the entire mix directly into it and then export it from there to touch it up. Definitely still has its place but SampleCrate has been my go to for the last year-ish.
(long-time lurker, I've learned so much from this forum)
I've had AUM for a few years and am getting to know Loopy Pro. Is there anything that apeMatrix can do that isn't in the other two?
I also have too many AUv3s that I haven't learned properly yet, so maybe I should spend more time with the tools I have rather than jumping at every sale.
(who am I kidding, posting in this thread)
I think it can midi slave to external gear. At least that s the reason i want to buy it. I need a proper sync host for my Squarp Pyramid Sequencer. AUM can't. Please correct me if i am wrong.
The big selling point for ApeMatrix seems to be the built in LFOs so you can modulate anything in any app without loading an external LFO app. I haven’t tried it yet myself but AUM and Loopy Pro are both excellent and can do basically anything you’d want.
Audioshare is useful for sure, but sometimes it just loses huge projects. Last night i recorded a 3 hour podcast with it. Had plenty of storage space. Finished, ended it, and it normalizes itself...and then the file is nowhere to be found. Not by size, by name, by date, just gone. Not the first time its happened so my fault for assuming it would work.
