Scaler 2 sale. Full unlock was 22.99€ before.

When was the latest sale ? I'm really interested in getting it now but the price is a bit steep compared to my other app store purchases.

This is a pretty good app but having to sit through an ad every time I generate something is not acceptable in an app I paid for IMO.

  • It works for me, lol, thanks for sharing, cheers!

IAP of AUV3 in Koala is now free.

Kind of annoying when devs do that. Customers who paid are left feeling like chumps, notwithstanding "if it wasn't worth it to you, you shouldn't have paid in the first place" argument.

I don’t feel like a chump at all. I’m happy I’ve been able to AUV3 this entire time and the money went towards supporting a great dev. Win-win. Kinda like saying that when an app goes on sale too. No need to feel like a chump because someone else got it cheaper. It’s just the way it is.

+1 ... those who paid for it (myself included) were happy to do so at the asking price at the time.

Just bought The Manetron and the Solina, they sound great! They are AUv3, it’s definitely a good deal if you like those instruments.

    An interesting 11 seconds:

Is the beginning of Bungalow Bill an original Mellotron sample or did the Beatles write it themselves? If it’s the latter, you can’t really use that preset in a track of your own without copywrite issues.

From wiki, and other sources agree:

“ The song opens with a flamenco guitar phrase, played from a standard Mellotron bank of pre-recorded rhythms and phrases by studio engineer Chris Thomas.”

Thanks! I feel better about using that in a track now. I love that song - and album - a lot but it’s not my favorite Beatles record.

    I finally found it!
It’s the lowest F on the Trombone bank.
The only guitar in the trombone bank.
    Go figure…
It was a stock loop shipped with the MkII model.

Oh so you have the actual hardware? Which one?

100%. And Koala is and had always been a STEAL for what you get. Also it’s kinda transcended our little community. I see it mentioned in all kinds of music forums now. Even hardware specific ones. I moderate the synth subreddit and it gets brought up there a lot as the go-to rec for a cheap but powerful sampler. You love to see it.

  • Thanks for the tips on tb/FF

other ?: If I one has Nambu, other than supporting the awesome dev, would there be any use for Lagrange?

Lagrange is not a FM synth.

A few of the oscillator variations do 2OP FM at various frequency ratios.

You and me both 😂 hopefully one day 🤞

You mean the actual Mellotron app from the company? I only have their Chamberlin app but it’s very good.

Got this last time it was free. Haven’t really used it much yet but the reviews are good. Might give it a whirl for some field recordings.
