Similar to when they launched Minifreak V, looks like you can get the reverb bundled with FX Collection 3 for a significant discount. For me, it'd be $129. Tempting.

Very tempting… my hang up is I got a significant portion of FX Collection for free so I’m not sure if I wanna fork out the money for FX I might now use. At the same time there are some Arturia key effects I don’t have that I will use 😂

€129 for me. Tempting. Although I already have FX Fragments, and Mello-Fi. I bought Fragments on a discount, and snagged Mello-Fi for just $10 on Knobcloud last week. So I have to consider if I would gain much.

I got a great deal on MiniFreak V last month, and on V Collection, I'm a great fan of Arturia, their products and customer service. Their bundle prices are great!

Agreed, though I haven't pulled the trigger myself; there are a lot of effects in the bundle that I just don't think I'd use. Logic has stock plugins that resemble most of the compressors for example. I mean, I guess at $129 if I think I'd use the reverb plus like two of the other effects in the bundle it'd probably be worth it. At the same time I'm trying to get my app GAS under control

I managed to persuade myself that I didn’t need the synth collection this month; tried them all out, got a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume, did a spreadsheet where I realised I covered at least 60% of them with synths I already have on either Mac or iPad, plus there was a lot that I wasn’t that bothered about. The only real hole was the buchla but I’ve got reaktor so that kinda is similar but more…

I've just started in the desktop space, so I went for the Minifreak V plus V Collection deal when they did that, and then I got Pigments, and I figure that will do for me for synth plugins for the foreseeable future (especially combined with the plugins that came over from iOS, and the Logic stock plugins). I wouldn't complain if ID700 and Pure Acid made the leap from iOS, but again, I figure I'm swimming in soft synths now. I've loved having the CS-80, Buchla, Roland, and Prophet clones. So those plus Minifreak V and Pigments have been worth the price of admission. Anyway, for pretty much every desktop synth plugin I've been tempted by since then, I now already have something that does the same job.

I think I will skip the effects bundle. There's nothing in there that fills a significant hole in my workflow. I got the MS-20 filter and Tape Mello-fi for free when they came out, and TBH I haven't used either of them yet.

Yeah, me too. I know eventually I will probably complete the FX Collection because I love Arturia as a company - they got my support, but for now Movement and Portal by Output is more than enough for my sound design needs.

My thoughts too. If there were two plugins I wanted more than others in this bundle, it is the two I already have. I was lucky enough to get those two for a total of €50, so I'm happy with that. I don't need the whole lot. I did buy V Collection, but it was because I was looking to buy Mellotron just as it came out, and I was also interested in the ambient presets pack, and a couple of the other synths. All in all, for €149 (the same price as the Mellotron alone), it was a great deal for me. This effects pack would be an outgoing, not a saving.

I also look at it as how much am I spending, and do I really need, or will I get value from this. I try not to get pulled in by the “look how much I can save” thing.

I fell exactly the same. The V collection really covers all my vintage needs. The Minifreak and Pigments cover my needs for modern synth with wavetables. But with FX collections I‘ll skip. TBH I really like the FX of my DAW plus some creative stuff from Bleass and Unfiltered Audio.

I have a very similar setup to you. V Collection. Analog Lab V. MiniFreak V. Pigments. Bleass. UA. Plus Arturia FX Fragments and Mello-Fi. A setup that works. I did add in Korg WaveState Native prior to buying V Collection, and love it. Yes, a house full of soft synths, but at least I don't have to dust, power, and service them.

Indeed. They do stand out in the field, even when compared to "average companies", let alone to the awful "anti-loyalty" ones like Waves or Izotope. 🙂

BTW, Output was another good one that offered steadily increasing discounts to existing customers, but as a result I have everything non-sub from them now, so I don't know if they still keep it up.
