If anyone is still trying to spend their $20 and ran out of unfiltered audio stuff to get, the Lindell plug-ins sound really amazing. I got the pultec and 1176 emulations and they sound fantastic.

That was my backup default after UA too 😂

I'm still completing my UA collection.

Next up with my voucher is Triad, but I'm also interested in Fault and Dent 2.

I already have Bass Mint, Lo-Fi-Af, Needlepoint, Sandman Pro, Instant Delay, Silo, Zip.

I think Dent comes with Fault if I’m not mistaken or vice versa!

Not sure - Fault's a pitch modulator and Dent's a distortion effect. They both have UA's awesome modulation system but apart from that they're pretty unique - Byome is UA's multi-effect which has the engines from some of their other plugins....

Sorry Indent is free with Dent 🙃

By the way, does everyone know that Nambu now works as a plug-in for GarageBand and Logic Pro on Apple Silicon desktop/laptop computers?

I told you this would happen!

    That rocks

And by the way, if you “buy” the app from the desktop and you already own the iOS version, it looks like it’ll charge you $17.99. As long as you already own the iOS version, the desktop version is free. Just “buy” it and it’ll be a free download.

And I just tried importing the @Spidericemidas patch set on the desktop version. Really easy to do and everything works great!

Hopefully just the beachhead for the rest of their apps!

Yeah that’s in the dollar tier as well, I just got this a few months back, albeit for nine bucks but that’s insanely cheap!

As do all Dillon’s creations this looks interesting, especially the pitch detection/scale correction on the delay line; is there anything else that does this? It’s always something that puts me off using time based stuff that pitch shifts unless it’s plain old octaves…

Makes no sense to me at all. Kontakt has an old foundation and is weird but it’s an industry standard for very good reasons.

I can but agree. I understand people not choosing to go the Kontakt route, but I don't understand the making a fuss about it, instead of moving on. It's a choice, simple as that.

Uninstalling and recovering GB's worth of wasted space wasn't a big fuss for me. :)

Nice! I love Dillon’s stuff too… I’m not sure about what else does this but I agree with you. I was just jamming with Sandman Pro last night getting some awesome beautiful stuff mixed with dissonant unusable stuff as well.

  • New Arturia reverb Rev LX-24 on intro sale until 23 April. EUR 69 on pluginboutique etc., but if you already have Arturia stuff, check your account because it can go down to EUR 29* - this company routinely pampers its loyal customers. Theoretical full price is EUR 99.

*Another example of desktop prices not necessarily being higher than iOS prices.

I just turned up to share this one. Yes, do check your account. It's coming in at €49 for me, showing at €69 when I am not logged in. I love the way that Arturia takes care of their customers.

Ditto. And I'm quite sure it works out well for them, too. 🙂

For example, I recently realised how Arturia have surely received quite some money from me that I would probably have spent with izotope IF they showed similar care for their existing customers. But they don't. Pluginboutique routinely has their stuff much-much cheaper than the pathetic "loyalty offer" I can see on their website. Actually, now that izotope moved in with Native Instruments, where I'm also a customer, I started getting bad offers for izotope software from both of them. 🥴

Back to Arturia though - they deserve some promo in my book, so let me mention how their stuff always comes with a brilliant preset management system (consistent through their portfolio) and proper built-in tutorials as well. Quite the package.

  • Similar to when they launched Minifreak V, looks like you can get the reverb bundled with FX Collection 3 for a significant discount. For me, it'd be $129. Tempting.

Very tempting… my hang up is I got a significant portion of FX Collection for free so I’m not sure if I wanna fork out the money for FX I might now use. At the same time there are some Arturia key effects I don’t have that I will use 😂

AAS Multiphonics CV-2 modular synth - intro offer $99 ($50 off). Updated version of original now includes separate effect plugins - upgrade from version 1 available - I was quoted $49.

Slightly limited by the number of modules available compared to VCV rack and Voltage modular - at the moment AAS don't allow independent 3rd party modules to be added (list of included modules here) but it's a nice clear interface and capable of creating some good instruments and effects.

€129 for me. Tempting. Although I already have FX Fragments, and Mello-Fi. I bought Fragments on a discount, and snagged Mello-Fi for just $10 on Knobcloud last week. So I have to consider if I would gain much.

I got a great deal on MiniFreak V last month, and on V Collection, I'm a great fan of Arturia, their products and customer service. Their bundle prices are great!

Agreed, though I haven't pulled the trigger myself; there are a lot of effects in the bundle that I just don't think I'd use. Logic has stock plugins that resemble most of the compressors for example. I mean, I guess at $129 if I think I'd use the reverb plus like two of the other effects in the bundle it'd probably be worth it. At the same time I'm trying to get my app GAS under control
