Another day, another reset from Plugin Alliance - the $20 discount code will work again...

If you're looking for something to spend it on, I can recommend the ADA STD-1 tap delay - deceptively simple but capable of some really interesting sounds.

If in the future you wish to get them all, probably around Black Friday, all previous purchases reduce the bundle deal as well.

In the latest macOS Ventura update (13.3) a number of desktop plugins no longer function as Audio Units for Logic Pro.

@Virsyn: The following AU's are having problems in Logic Pro. Both Tera Pro and AudioLayer work great and interestingly enough, all of these still work as AU's in GarageBand for desktop. Please review when you can. Thanks!

I don't know if anyone from Soundpaint ever visits here, but Soundpaint 2.0.1 crashes as an AU in Logic Pro in the latest macOS Ventura 13.3. I'll also try to file a bug report with them on their site.

NOTE: Updating to SOUNDPAINT ENGINE 2.0.1 (see their web site for download) fixes the issue.

Paul (@4pockets_paul )... just so you know, SideBand Remix works in GarageBand on desktop, but does not work in Logic Pro as an AU in macOS Ventura 13.3. And as you can see, Copperhead works! Please look into this when you can:

Every Cherry Audio synth and plugin works in macOS Ventura 13.3 for Logic Pro except for Voltage Modular, which crashes. I've contacted Cherry Audio directly, just letting people here know it's an issue.

UPDATE: Cherry Audio is now notifying their customers about this issue. And it's only happening on Apple Silicon computers, only happening in Logic Pro and it isn't happening on computers running Logic Pro using Rosetta.

@BradHowes, it looks like SoundFonts is not working properly as an AU in macOS Ventura 13.3 for Logic Pro. It still works great in GarageBand on desktop. Please look into this. Thanks!

  • @giku_beepstreet It appears the MIDI controlled effects (MFx) and Effects (Fx) for Drambo fail validation in Logic Pro on desktop, macOS Ventura 13.3. Most of the other plugins work great. In fact, Zeeon works perfectly in Logic Pro, but in GarageBand it never completely worked. Please investigate when you have the time. Thank you.:

@Blue_Mangoo, none of the iFretless apps work in Logic Pro on desktop (macOS Ventura 13.3), even though they work in GarageBand on desktop, which seems odd to me. Please review and if it is possible to fix, please do. The attached image is from the Plug-In Manager window. Thanks!

  • If anyone is still trying to spend their $20 and ran out of unfiltered audio stuff to get, the Lindell plug-ins sound really amazing. I got the pultec and 1176 emulations and they sound fantastic.

Drambo doesn’t work at all on my M1 Mac (Big Sur) in standalone, never has, always throws up an error. Loads and then crashes in Live, won’t load in Logic.

Same here and such a pity too.

  • Keep in mind that this thread is for sales for desktop plug-ins, a post for issues like that would be better seen in its own post than in this thread

Problems with desktop software working are directly related to desktop plugin sales. Do you want to buy desktop software and then find out it doesn’t work? So that’s really just your opinion.

  • @NeuM considering the majority of the apps you listed are not desktop plugins, nor on sale, ive got to agree with @Fingolfinzz on this one. I get notifications from this thread, with the purpose of finding out about software built for desktop that is on sale, not iOS apps (that were not built for desktop) bug reports.

All of the apps listed work as Audio Units in GarageBand, desktop on Apple Silicon hardware. All are for sale. Have you tried them yourself? You should.

Just relax. It’s in the hands of developers now. I’ve been in contact with many of them.

You’re right it’s really cool. I mistakenly thought I would be able to get Sandman Pro for free with the coupon reset but I had already used it for Triad and Tails so I’m going to happily pay $15 usd before the sale ends soon.

PSA to anyone who hasn’t participated in the sale: you can get sandman pro for free with the MEGA-20-OFF code! ~12 hours left…

sure they may work in garage band on desktop, but i wouldnt consider them desktop apps. they are ios apps first, that mayyyybe work on desktop. Also, yes, they are all FOR sale, but they are not ON sale, aka DEALS page. ;)

I ended up getting that ADA delay thing as I’ve been on a Floyd tip with my guitar lately and it just sounded so nice with those riffs I’m learning to murder 😅

I'm still completing my UA collection.

Next up with my voucher is Triad, but I'm also interested in Fault and Dent 2.

I already have Bass Mint, Lo-Fi-Af, Needlepoint, Sandman Pro, Instant Delay, Silo, Zip.

I think Dent comes with Fault if I’m not mistaken or vice versa!

  • By the way, does everyone know that Nambu now works as a plug-in for GarageBand and Logic Pro on Apple Silicon desktop/laptop computers?

I told you this would happen!

And by the way, if you “buy” the app from the desktop and you already own the iOS version, it looks like it’ll charge you $17.99. As long as you already own the iOS version, the desktop version is free. Just “buy” it and it’ll be a free download.

And I just tried importing the @Spidericemidas patch set on the desktop version. Really easy to do and everything works great!

Not sure - Fault's a pitch modulator and Dent's a distortion effect. They both have UA's awesome modulation system but apart from that they're pretty unique - Byome is UA's multi-effect which has the engines from some of their other plugins....
