Well I got all four for 17USD so that's pretty good.😊
Now, all the new (and old) models you can shift on various presets really makes it so much more - you can make a huge number of new presets just out of one preset. That's the thing that's so awesome with this one. Strangely the new models ended up in the user area but that's no big deal I guess.

Did you have a credit with Klevgrand? Why so low?

There's 50% off if you buy all four and for some reason I had 40% from Focusrite (I did mention that in my earlier post :) ) so, I got 40 on the 50 so to speak😁

    That's a solid deal.

The Pink texture pack is very nice. Is it possible to change the preset without changing the model ? I know the other way is possible (select one preset and change the model) but I really would like to set a model and change the preset without having to reselect the model each time...

No, I don't think so. I like abstract bit so far not too happy with pink but some of the others are really cool. Maybe it'll grow on me :) I have mostly just played around in stand alone so no extra effects added yet..

The pink one is very adventurous in some ways, but seems to get a bit samey for me at the same time. If I had to choose one, would definitely be the analog synth pack - some killer presets there

  • I’ve been really enjoying this synth so far. Made some pretty wild patches. The tunes percussion sound pack is right up my alley too.

  • I´m tempted to get the audio models packs, but I´d like to hear a demo of the presets and the Klevgrands demo only show a few from each pack

    Me too :)

An innovative form of synthesis, comprehensive controlling and MPE = instabuy (or at least, insta as soon as money allows!)

When on the beta, one of the first things I said is…this REALLY should be mpe if it’s going to be as expressive as you want it to be. I’m SO glad they did end up making it mpe, and I hope they now add mpe to their other synths. I think with the rave reviews the Osmose is getting, with Ableton Push 3 using MPE etc etc, maybe MPE’s moment in the sun is finally coming, so I hope we see other devs turning their synths mpe. And I hope we see them implementing it well - which is all too rare sadly!

  • Bruques:
    it gets better and better:)
also it has a trial on desktop!!!!

  • v1.2 MPE support (MIDI Polyphonic Expression)
    v1.2 Physical "body" simulations
v1.2 Different filter types (LP, HP, BP in both 12 and 24 db/oct)
v1.2 Custom tunings support (opens .tun files)

Please may it be so. I'll cross fingers that Icegear go next? Comprehensive physical modeling MPE on iOS (that's not relying on LP) to make this amazing period more amazinger by a factor.

  • I'm doing a giveaway to Tomofon V1.2

  • I get a crash on wheel touch (mod and pitch). Will test some more but curious if someone else experience/d the same.

    All good. iOS 15.7

Strangely, Tomofon (desktop version) is nearly a few dollars cheaper on Pluginboutique versus from the Klevgrand web site.

That happens quite regularly with desktop audio stuff.

Tried standalone with MPE and without, everything fine and stable.
In AUM, Velocity Keyboard and KB-1 MPE work as supposed (no wheel).

    iPad Pro M2, iOS 16.5.1

  • I think I’m more excited about the extra filter options than anything but mpe is obviously great as well

  • Does this work with wavetables? Or just samples?

    Not with wavetables, no

Tried with 4-pole filters and changing ‘body’ models, you can really transform any preset into something completely different. Built-in filters in combination with MPE and physical simulations elevate Tomofon to the next level. With those already made ‘body’ types in physical modeling you don’t feel the need for more custom options.

Thanks for trying it. When trying in AUM all works as it should, but in stand alone and even after a restart, I can't touch the wheels without an immediate crash. The internal wheels works fine. Latest iOS iPad Pro M1 11 (M-Audio Oxygen Pro connected with Widi (Bluetooth)). I'll do some more testing with other usb-keys and then report it.

Sorry, I didn’t catch in your post that you need to test the external(HW) MIDI keyboard. So I retested it with Alesis VL25, in AUM works fine with every combination. In standalone Tomofon did not recognise the controller at first till I started another synth, after that (Tomofon got illuminated ;)) everything worked fine, no crash on pitch or modulation wheel.

Maybe it is a dongle issue. Mine is cheapo ORICO.

Yeah in Tomofon stand alone you need to connect and select your keys via the midi button at the top.

It might be the widi stuff will try other synths to see.

Right, but I couldn't select the controller from that menu before another synth was started.

  • What do you think of MPE being preset based? I think I would have preferred to have it as an global on/off.

Also, has anyone tried the new sound pack? I got an offer for it but it's still very expensive for being "just" a sound pack.

You can lock it in the controller settings, the little lock icon... Didn't find it intuitively either, but was quite happy to have found it. Not sure if it remembers it after closing.
