man I'm itching for this!!!!!
That sounds incredible!
the bb2239 'chip' deffo seems like a PT 2239 emulation from the name
Yes please.
love that tearing/ripping noise
Ooooh, yeeeeeaaaaah! AAS factor 10 engaged! 🤣
I literally just emailed him the other day asking if he could combine Ripplemaker and Mononoke into one instrument for a 0Coast/0Ctrl/Strega like synth. Hahaha.
well done!!!!
Well, hello there sexy!
Nice to see you after a fairly disappointing NAMM...
@bygjohn
My last therapy session suggests a single sample can do it all, dsp is overrated
Looking hot.
Curious to see if that built in seq inherited the weird timing aspect of 0ctrl
@brambos 👏👏👏
Oh man I haven't had a case of GAS this bad since the OP-1 Field, lol. But luckily this will probably be in my price range, lol.
Looks very experimental!
That sounds fantastic.
So what sort of synth are folks speculating about?
I don't know what Strega / 0Coast / 0Ctrl / PT2239 are! Some sort of West Coast thing?
Wow.
And also ouch: given Bram's well-deserved pedigree and the true nature of this forum, the hype (and the main page of the forum) are going to be borderline unbearable over the following weeks. 👌
strega is a kind of experimental drone synth which runs through a cheap karaoke echo chip ( PT2239), it was made by make noise with Alessandro Cortini from Nine inch nails.
The physical synth is good for drones and for lofi delay for other synths as well as distortion and overdrive ( I think, I've never seen one IRL)
West coast. East coast. Doesn't matter. What I heard were very experimental sounds coming out of the thing, and that definitely whet my appetite!
Thank you. Strega sounds proper narsty! Love it
Definitely looks like Strega!
The Strega demo is fantastic, somehow it reminds me a bit of how SKIIID sounds.
Here, to help build some excitement:
I've had one of these on my wish-list for ages, but couldn't justify the cost for something that niche, so if Hilda (Ogden?) is anything like Strega then I'll be more than happy, and five hundred quid better off.
Have you looked at Strokes since it got the sampler and Plaits modules?
Hilda is a witch, which might explain the name.
The only Hilda I've ever known was a real estate agent married to a CIA agent.
When I saw the name bram
I thought time to get out the wallet
Then I thought oh, what will the app be !
Fingers crossed for a May 1st release
Otherwise this be another long thread that I keep checking all day
It sure looks daunting, lol. Got any video tutorial recommendations mate? (I could Google it too, but I'm sure your recommendations would exceed any Google results.)
Sounds very analog and fat.
See the dev's latest video on the Plaits addition. I didn't understand half of it on the first view, but it will show you how easy and fun this thing is to tweak. I am very bad about buying complex apps and never learning them, but that is not a problem here. You load one of the two demo patches and start tweaking, and you get great stuff. It is very easy to start with a demo and get something entirely different without knowing what you're doing. It is very deep, but also very fun to explore while flying blind. As opposed to say, Drum Perfect Pro, which is very deep but hard to have fun exploring or to get much done at all without consulting the manual.
Sounds good. I will look into this. I'm in "daft mode" right now, so do you have the dev's Youtube handle handy?
