perfect companion to the iPad. And it’s just a really unique and quirky instrument and it inspired me a hell of a lot.

I hate how expensive the Field is but nothing has inspired me quite like the OP-1 does so regretfully I’m saving up for one 😂

My ideal setup would be a Field, 12” Pro, Live on an M2 MacBook Pro, and a decent interface to connect them all together.

    I can dream!!!

Still, apps like this one certainly keep the creative juices flowing until I win the lottery!

Ableton live I’m guessing? I’ve actually never used Ableton. When I had my Mac I was using Logic and GarageBand but I’m all ipad now. Definitely excited for the Field though.

  • Going back to Hilda. I see a fingerprint on the UI. Wondering what all is capable there 🤔

I think I’m giving myself another month with the Strega before really looking into swapping/selling it in exchange for a Lyra…

Just as a reminder in case you use some desktop software as well, the LIRA-8 software is very fun and a kind of emulation of the Lyra:

    https://mikemorenodsp.gumroad.com/l/lira-8

lira 8 is so good I mailed the dev asking him to port to ios

Not the same, and not AUv3, but you can run the smaller LIRA-4 by the same author in MobMuPlat:

    Thank you!!!!

No worries, then I think the way I made it work was open each of the two files in MMP from the files app, then you can open it from within MMP…

“Touch Bridge” to control some type of modulation?

You have to move the files into the MMP folder then just open the .mmp file from the in app browser.

If you swipe right there’s another set of controls. It’s really cool

Makes me want to take another look at PD, only been twenty years that in’s been avoiding it 😂

  • Now we know what it'll look like! I hope it'll be polyphonic unlike Ripplemaker, but I'll still buy it if I like its sound.

Beautiful interface, a bit of a puzzle and some mystery. Nice sequencer. Very curious how it will sound and what it can do.

sounds fantastic.. i just hope it will be proper standard synth (probably west coast style which is great) and not some weirdness made in cooperation with Hainbach, those “hainbach- influenced” plugins are really the only ones from Bram collection which are going compˇwtel out of my interest,..

I kinda know what you mean. I love Bram Bos apps and I love Hainbach but I didn't bother with Fluss and never got to grips with Gauss. I fully admit that this is my problem, not the apps in question.
My heart tells me to buy the more experimental stuff like Esoteric Synth, iVCS3, ID700, Fundamental, Virtual ANS3 etc... My brain just says no!
Hoping this is not too taxing and is usable in a conventional synth way.

  • I absolutely love Gauss, Fluss I got tired of pretty quickly, tbh, though I definitely dig the attempt to do something interesting with touch

May will be the month of new synth launches , many choice to do. When it come to Hainbach apps style I understand that some people are not fan lover.

I am in the deep house sound and sometimes to ambient, some do more other style so I got same problem with disco 80 synth. Most of my mistake was buying synth or other apps that doesn’t fit my music style.

So I ask this question this synth is for what type of music style ? I would like more review to tell for what style is it good or not.

I play jazz and blues for my pleasure but only on a real keyboard piano or organ. It is me analog for jazz and Blues and iOS music and Daws for electro.

  • Instabuy. Looks fun!!!

Well, we don't know, do we, since it isn't released yet. But my guess - it's a synth, so, synthy music.

There are hundreds of stiletto n handbag, synth/beatboxes for the disco dancing ladies and gentlemen already. We need MORE 'weirdness' - that's the whole point of making music, for me at least - rather than repeating the same old donkey day in day out.

If it wasn't for innovators like Brambos and his ilk before him, we'd still be listening to skiffle n broomsticks.

Just jumping in here quickly to manage some expectations.

First off; @_ki that's great stuff! All will be revealed in due time :D

Second, I never said it was going to be a Strega, or even like a Strega, so please don't expect it to be a Strega emulation. I think that was merely a guess by this forum. It's very much its own thing B)

    Carry on...

From the noises, it definitely sounds awesome whatever it is

Can’t wait to release it and let you all have a go with it! :)

Bram, when are you going to start porting your software to macOS? Come on, man! :)

When I feel like answering tons of support emails for Ableton and Logic every day and explaining why they won’t be windows/VST/Clap/AAX etc.

    No thanks :D

Why not explaining it once on a web page and refer to it. Make clear that this usage is at your own risk without support. I think most of us are on a desktop/laptop, too. There are just too many shortcomings on iOS for the ambitious musician. TBH iOS DAWs are a joke compared to desktop DAWs. Personally I enjoy very much being in both worlds. I really love doing sound design with a touch UI. Turning knobs, drawing envelopes, etc. But then sharing my patches to the desktop. Working on an arrangement is so much better with a big screen and a DAW with professional features. I would really be happy about seeing your apps on the Mac AppStore 😉
