I’m in the waiting room, and need that knob to control multiple CCs. But as it is, you can make a fine custom looking MIDI surface, it will not replace ‘Velocity Keyboard’ for me but will replace KB-1 and alike. I was blinded by custom backgrounds and ‘who knows why’ 🤔 thought that the rest of the control will be at least on pair with Loopy Pro MIDI control. But sending money to Paul is never a bad deal.
Can this app send SysEx messages?
I don’t think so, here is the manual screenshot.

Thanks. That means I will stick with TouchOSC for now.
You probably already know this, but Loopy Pro can send simple sysex messages from controls and in response to such things as session load, transport start, etc.. It can load as an AUv3. It also overcomes the limitation that TouchOSC can't run in the background.
(I sent an email to Paul (support @ 4pockets.com) requesting sysex send for Surface Builder)
I needed a straightforward audio file clip launcher for AUM. I bought a few other launchers, but nothing comes near what Surface Builder offers. It's almost perfect, at least for my simple needs. I will add HP/LP and pan after I open up the layout. Thanks to the dev for this. It's simple enough even for a slow learner like me. I haven't looked at the manual yet. Is there a way to assign midiLFOs or mLFO (slow LFOs) to a volume knob?

I think there's only 1 more day of the Intro Sale Price - so be quick if you want it!
Sure, just route the LFO to Surface Builder, open the properties of the control you want to automate, and hit the Learn button.
I've noticed that when the LFO is running, it's impossible to select another control to edit. You have to switch it off in order to be able to continue editing other controls. ( @4pockets_paul )
Thanks!
New update v1.03 is here!

Is it possible to assign common settings like MIDI channel and Port number to a group of objects or a whole scene ? I want to create surfaces that have an easy way to change these parameters (specially MIDI channel) - ideally via one of the controls themselves.
Yeah, looks like MIDI channel is fixed for the surface. But you can redirect with Drambo to the target channel in any time you wish.
I’m digging surface builder, would be really great to have a way to increase the text size in button objects, especially on iPhone. The only thing I could do to make it big enough is to use the global iPhone zoom function.
Sadly, no.
There are text size buttons in the dialog where you set the Label.
The best you could do would be to layer controls, then have buttons to hide all but the ones assigned to the channel you need. Messy. And high maintenance.
Is it possible to build a play surface for SWAM string instruments into Surface Builder/
A way to control expressions when playing…
Not a good choice for that. It only does poly aftertouch. Check starting at about 5:00 through 8:20 below:
Found it on iPad, thanks! On iPhone it doesn’t seem to be possible to access that window. Hopefully it will be added in an update.
That may not be intentional. You probably want to bring that to the developer's attention. support @ 4pockets.com
If just send an email to the dev. I hope this will be implemented. It would make things much easier.
Surface Builder as a clip launcher in AUM.

MidiDesigerPro really dropped the ball not offering some kind of AU version…
Same applies to TouchOSC.
This is exactly what I needed to see and would be my main use for it. Sadly there’s not a lot of options for a straightforward AU clip launcher. Koala can do this, and I use it for that a lot, but this seems great. Can you add the effects per clip as well? Like the pan, filters, etc? And is there a limit to how many you can have/how long they can be?
Really hope this one gets a Patchstorage page.
Anyone want to share some cool SB presets?
You can apply Volume, Pan, Reverb Mix, Reverb Size, and Reverb Color per clip.
At the global level you can apply Volume, Stereo Width, Low Pass Filter, High Pass Filter, and LP/HP filter.
You can also apply Volume to Pass-Thru audio when used in an FX position.
Thanks! Would be nice to have a simple clip launcher to use in AUM. Neon works but you can only have one clip per instance so this is great.
