Thanks! btw. if you bought all of my apps and iaps, then I should rather tip you :)

  • Will be instantly buying when I get home.
Will be going home early I think 🤣

One more synth app can’t hurt!

But seriously… I do believe many of the newer apps are superior to the older ones.
    That’s my excuse anyway.

Keep on updating and buying new apps!
    Great Devs deserve great support.

I’ve just come home from hospital after a sharp stick gouged my left cornea. I’m also recovering from an unrelated operation on my jaw and haven’t eaten properly for a month. Now I have to finish all my house jobs in preparation for a visit from some friends of my other half, including the gardening that half blinded me.
But still, today is looking good and Daggery 🍻

Jesus, sorry to hear this, sounds terrible. Hope you get well soon!

  • This is such a brilliant sounding synth btw!

  • New apps are totally superior, thats how it feels at least.

You own all ios music making bro. Best interfaces full stop, and now the sound. I pray for drambo update every day🙏😂

I may suggest (if not yet considered) to think about drambo release on PC. If it would support vsts in a way it now supports auv3 I would immediately buy it for 100-200$ being cross-compatible with ios (without vsts ofc but having some freeze func like in ableton). I think drambo is far superior than any PC daw or hardware in that "groovebox modular workflow" which is a dream of many synth heads and there are a lot of people thinking like me. Especially if you put there such engines like dagger synth.

Bottomline - if there is a way to motivate you for further developments with cash - post it! And thank you for this sick new device. Im off to hit some concrete ⛏️⛏️⛏️🚧🚧

  • Just had 5 minutes on it…. It’s beautifully filthy! Congrats and thanks, @giku_beepstreet 🍻

Bought, naturally. I think this may fill the void of my recently deceased hardware Moog Rogue. Simple and dirty. Shout out to Zeeon for still being the synth I’ve spent the most time with ever (aside from that Rogue). Beating out Animoog is no joke. Hope the release goes well, beepstreet.

  • Made a patch called the trip.

  • I’m on a bit of a new app ban at the moment, but this sounds too good to pass up.

  • Easy instabuy! Can't wait to experiment with it after breakfast.

  • Is there a manual ? How’s the LFO work ?

  • @ecou said:
Is there a manual ? How’s the LFO work ?

It's easy enough to 'get' while tweaking really.

LFO has 'Key' (reset LFO phase on note on), 'Free' and 'Tempo Sync' .
Waveforms are Sine, Square, S&H and Noise, AD envelope (rate controls decay speed), and OSC which is the sum of both Osc 1 & 2 with the 'rate' controlling the tuning-ratio.

The 'MOD' knobs apply the output from the LFO to the selected parameter.

Tweaking the 'Velocity' will also control the amount of LFO modulation passed to the the parameter based on note on velocity.

Best way to 'explore' Dagger is NOT by reading a manual but by tweaking it.

    Cheers!

The manual will be available soon on beepstreet site. (Most probably tomorrow)

LFO is classic + 2 additional modes: ENV - acts like a single shot envelope, OSC - sinewave with frequency dependent on current key

Really? I could almost swear the effect of the oscillator mix affected the LFO waveform :sunglasses:

Sorry I don't understand. Waveforms are Sine, Square, S&H and Noise are type of wave for the LFO. Is ENV and VCO destination ? How do you set the target ?

I am playing with it but most of the switches I have no idea what they do. Stupid guitar player here.

  • Going to buy this as soon as I get home.

    I’ll bet it’s good for stabs…

    (I’ll get my coat)

  • It’s so fat and dirty, it sounds very good. I love it. Indeed a good combi with my go-to delay Mantis.
I really like a UI like this, one view, straightforward.

  • Just bought. I will have a fun night tonight :)

The MOD knobs under the oscillators, filter, amp are the 'Targets' for the LFO, they set the depth of the modulation.
For the Oscillator section you can choose oscillator 1 shape, phase/detune and pitch as the 'target' for the LFO using the switch.

First of all, LFO is always the source and the Mod knobs are the destination controls.
ENV is just another LFO "waveform", like an additional envelope triggered when you hit a key. You could have a sound with a long decay but also a short transient attack at the beginning using the LFO in ENV mode additionally.
VCO uses a higher frequency sinewave as its waveform, and LFO Rate re-adjusts its pitch.
Useful for all kinds or weird oscillator, filter or volume modulations.

I am playing with it but most of the switches I have no idea what they do. Stupid guitar player here.

Track: Change HP or LP cutoff frequency depending on the note you play, the 3 positions are 0, 50 and 100% key follow.
Most other switches are like in other synths but feel free to ask specific questions.

  • Wow @giku_beepstreet this thing is wicked sick! Just amazing!

Ive bought it, had a quick blast, it sounds marvellous…
its like having your hands on a classic quirky full of dirty character analogue synth.
probably more character than oddyssey, 101, Cs synths etc.
I think this synth will cause me to make better use of my launch control XL.. theres just enough knobs and faders.
Its simpler but i feel it sounds as good and capable as my Bass Station 2, for most my lead and squelchy noise needs.
the chaos thats in it, im gonna lose a lot of hours twiddling and learning new tricks i reckon.

Also.. on my Air3 ipad..i needed a reboot for it to open in standalone.
My air3 needing a reboot is not unusual.

I just got it and it won't open on my iPad Pro, either stand alone or in AUM and it doesn't show up in my Apple account on my Mac either.

What iPad model and iPadOS version are you running? (I did all my testing on an 11" M1 iPad Pro running iPadOS 16.6).
Did you already try rebooting your iPad?
(This can sometimes be needed if a load of apps are running in the background when downloading and installing new apps).

Also It's only for SIlicon Mac's and it can sometimes take a bit of time before the apps show up in the Mac AppStore.
(Don't have a Silicon Mac so I can test this).

Thanks! Rebooting did the trick on the iPad! I have Intel iMac so maybe it won't be available on my machine.

Just tried here, I had to quit and re-open the Mac Appstore and now it shows up under iOS apps when searching for Dagger.
