It doesn’t open on my iPhone X. Quick crash
Only if one has a Mx-Silicone Mac, I'm still rocking an old 3Ghz 6-Core i5 MacMini...
Wow, the demos sound great! Its like having a better, more versatile version of Monark on my Ipad! Can't wait to get home and play around with my new synth!
That’s a thought, reverse tip jar, lol.
Is that a patch randomizer I see in the bottom left corner?
Which iOS version? Standalone, plugin, both? Have you tried restarting? If that doesn't work, can you share the crash log? (look for Dagger in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Analytics Data)
Yep. Have fun!
Had to look this one up, but might help some others… definition by Sweetwater
Paraphonic
A term used to describe a synthesizer where multiple oscillators can be used to play different notes, but all of those oscillators route through the same signal path (VCF/DCF, VCA/DCA, etc.), as opposed to true polyphony, where each oscillator feeds its own filter, amplifier, and so on. String synths were made using this technique in the 1970s as a way to control costs. Recently, some analog synthesizers that normally would be monophonic instruments have been released that utilize this technique to provide limited semi-polyphonic capability.
How many built in presets we looking at…?
this just jumped to the top of my list.
Yum. Tasty. Thanks for confirming.
What hardware synth does it sound like to you ? For me , Arturia Microbrute or Moog. It sounds very good!
By the way, is this two separate purchases for ipados and macos or is it like your other 2 platform single purchases? Thanks.
Got it. It does bass really well.
59!
To answer my own question, the price includes both platforms. 👍
Thank you
Lol. I do that sometimes. At least now we all know.
@giku_beepstreet
Only issues I’m seeing on this synth is inconsistent triggering on the built-in keyboard. Sometimes it’ll play the same note no matter which key or keys I tap on, other times It will play nothing until I lift my fingers from the keyboard and make every strike distinct and non-overlapping. This should be addressed. (When using the synth as an AU/AUv3 it isn't a problem because I'm using the GarageBand or Logic Pro keyboard at that point.)
And the “wheel” controller on the left side of the UI for tremelo & sound blending is too close to the bottom edge of the screen on iPad Pro. It needs to move up at least 1 finger width so accidental triggering of screen switching does not occur.
Other than that, it sounds great so far and I’m kind of liking this new patch organization system.
Thank you 😎👍
Here is my walkthrough for Dagger, the magic is definitely in the Filters, remarkable.
I'd love to see an FX version with audio pass-through to the filters.
Money is tight this week so both this and Super VHS are waiting until next week. I’m stoked though, it sounds and looks AMAZING!
Shout out to @giku_beepstreet for being one of the best devs on iOS full stop. Every app is a classic.
With synths like this, it sounds even better than some hardware.
I don’t really have the money sitting around to buy synths/effects right now either, but i got this one. I’m gonna feel this when the bill comes around.
How are you liking it so far? I’m contemplating going ahead and getting it too 😂
So who’s going to be the first person to lay down a new version of this?
I actually like it quite a lot. I think there are some performance and UI issues which need to be fixed (which I listed earlier), but I'm really enjoying it so far.
Maybe we could all put our names into a hat then draw a lucky winner 😀
Totally agree with you Doug. I managed to catch some of this live, and I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the filters are.
Is it universal or iPad only, or whatever it means so I can load it on my M1 Mac?
