Well, you have a prophet vs emulation at least. Of course, as with other products they've made, it's not quite finished, but maybe one day it will be. At the moment though, I think the shiny theory is most relevant (wej, phase distortion synth).
One positive about phase distortion is it seems it's their own product, and I do wonder the roles of akai and Arturia in the implementation of said incomplete products.

"We just submitted bug fixes and iOS 8 compatibility updates for iMini and iProphet"
Is the new PD synth based upon the 'Digits' vsti, if so will the presets be interchangeable?

I don't believe anything they say until i SEE the updates.

I'm trying my luck with them (Retronyms) and sent Dan an e-mail asking if I can help out and test iMPCPro with USB-Devices.
I will be getting the Phase84 no matter what, I'm a 'Trance-Gate Junkie'.
iMini and iProphet finally get 'delete user-presets' too!
Hope the upcoming update to AudioCopy will allow us to delete folders...
After Impc pro with no real functioning line in as a sampler I too have that bitter taste.
Update in review:
Updated Audiobus to 2.1.5
Updated for iOS8
Fixed MIDI channel selector not showing devices in some cases.
Fixed mismatched 3rd oscillator on preset load.
Fixed an issue where turning the Frequency knobs all the way to the right would act as if it was at 0.
Added custom preset delete.
Unfortunately no 'stuck low notes' fix and no return of pressure and velocity in the mod matrix... yet. Still hope this will get corrected with a future update.
Stuck low notes is understandable since it's the same in Arturias original unfortunately.But they should really Put Velo and pressure jnto the Mod Matrix.Although i don't think we would see another update anytime soon after this one.Anyway,appreciate the update,also for iMini.
I know the stuck-notes bug possibly originates from he desktop version. But this comment form Jay gave me some hope:
@mana said:
So how do recreate the stuck notes bug and also is this on the original Prophet V plugin?
^ Hold 3 notes on your onscreen keyboard and slide across the keys.
According to Retronyms the bug originates from the desktop version. But I'm not sure if it's the same. From what I read desktop users experience stuck notes after they play that actual note (hold/sustain problem). On the ipad the stuck note is always a very low note (not triggered by the player).

Thanks @R_2, for replying I haven't got iProphet yet, but I have the desktop version, I should have pointed this out, I was going to try to recreate this bug on the desktop, but I hope to pick it up in the future, when this bug is addressed, to refuse to address this bug, Retronyms, if they don't make reasonable attempts, may be contravening several laws of the EU and the UK, ie. Is it fit for purpose and also by the fact they knew about this 'bug' and only disclosed that fact after it went on sale, this bug has to be address as a matter of priority, as here on iOS, the use of touch screen keyboard is more imperative than on the desktop.
Version 1.1. is now on the US App Store.
Description states that 1.1 fixes some of the issues that have been raised in this thread. They also added the ability to delete "custom presets" (user presets?).

What happened to @mana? Hope he didn't got fired for being open and honest
Anyway, i'm happy with these fixes and hope to see the 'stuck-low-notes' bug and the omission of velocity/pressure get corrected with a next update.
Hi guys, sorry I've been gone for so long, I was busy handling fixes not only on iProphet and iMini (submitted, unfortunately won't be out until after the new year, I think) and some stuff on Tabletop and iMPC Pro. It's been very busy. Glad the iProphet fixes are finally out to you guys.
The way to delete custom presets is (if you're in the custom presets list) by swiping left or right (probably left) and then there's an Apple like style of deleting it.

I hope so too; it's not out of question, but I don't have any details on fixing those specific issues.
@Accent said:
Not likely to create the init patch you're describing (I know what you mean), but Arturia chose Pseudo Step and it's relatively close to a straight up init patch.
@knewspeak said:
We made reasonable attempts. I think it's silly for you to be threatening me with legal jargon when it's a fact that this is from Arturia's source code. Not to mention you can still bypass it from a user standpoint. I'm sorry you think it's a big enough problem that apparently legal recourse is the only solution, but even by your own definition, it doesn't qualify.
Sorry to have disappeared for so long, I was just focusing hard on getting these fixes out. Let me know if you have questions here. I can also be reached by email [email protected]. Have a good one.
@mana - thankful to see updates - and glad to hear about imini, but - no velocity sensitivty yet? - Hard to make it sound like the desktop VS without that when playing from an external keyboard.
@MusicInclusive said:
Yeah, I know the pain, unfortunately we couldn't fit it into the schedule for this patch. I can't give promises about putting out another patch, but if it does happen, I'm pretty sure this would be first on the list.
@mana-thanks for the follow up about the INIT patch, and the tip about Pseudo Step. I can make due with using that as a template.
good to have you back @mana. +1 on the litigious smack down.
OT.. but, what was fixed for impc pro.. AB? like imaschine?
@Goozoon said:
Personally i hope they fix the Core Audio Issues first so we can start to use our USB-Audio devices connected using CCK for both record and playback at the same time, not one or the other after unplug/replug...
...and add a 'monitor' switch to iMPC Pro so we can actually hear what's coming thru the inputs before starting to sample/record...
For @mana i suggest a 'road-map' on Retronyms.com for all the products so we as customers/users can see what's in store for future updates and also get some kind of confirmation that the requests we're providing actually get noticed
@mana, It is indeed good that you visit this forum and no I was not threatening you with legal jargon, I was just stating the law of my land, it's upto yourselves and Arturia if you decide to fix the 'bugs' that many users have raised, within this App - I hope you do, as your reputation needs improving. With regard to your App developments I see great promise, but sadly let down by poor faults and omissions, it was a courageous step to take, to talk with Audiobus users, here on this forum, long may it continue. What I and many others ask I believe wholly to be reasonable, to ignore this will be to your own detriment.
@syrupcore, lol Lawyers vs WWE - Something from/for The Simpsons?
Happy to see @mana is still with us

^This bug is still there. A lot of the presets (particularly Basses) have that odd 'monophonic only' behavior. Impossible to get them polyphonic, no matter what I do.
@knewspeak said:
I'd watch that. Preferably not animated! Hmm... their could be some money in this.
And just to be clear, I was only trying to say I am very pro @mana acting like a normal human here and having normal reactions and discussions. I thought it was silly too but that's not the point. Healthy forum is people saying what they feel (without being a dick) and I just really appreciate it when company reps do the same—makes me feel like they're human and a part of the community.
@mana in addition to my previous post: it seems worse than v1.0.1. Turning on Unison doesn't have any effect on many presets and the sound remains polyphonic.
Inherently moving the Unison knob to eliminate stuck notes no longer works (this was a safe an quick way to do so).
Old presets saved with Unison still have the unison effect but won't become polyphonic after turning Unison off.
Clearly something's wrong with loading and processing the settings of the keyboard control bar
Oh.Great.What a fool i am.Should have known better before i slapped the"update"button.See ya in 3 months then
WTF! There's a Unison on/off switch added to the chorus FX section. I preferred the old knob-switch (easy accessible on the keyboard control bar) but at least the poly/mono problem I posted above is solved.
I still need to figure out how the Unison-Detune pot now affects the sound when unison is off. I believe it detunes the 4 oscillators from eachother?
Does anyone know where the heck I can report an iProphet bug?
The support link from iTunes leads to a broken page on the Arturia website. The iProphet section on Arturia's site has no support link or info. Retronyms doesn't even have the app listed on their page.
It really shouldn't be so difficult for a paying customer to report an issue.
@busker i don't know Arturia's support email, apparently you need to login for support... http://www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp
I guess it's best to email Jay/mana at Retronyms (see his message on the previous page)
http://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/101026#Comment_101026
What bug are you experiencing?
@R_2 thanks for the link to the email.
There is a bug when switching presets; certain presets are screwing up any presets loaded afterwards. It seems that some settings are being carried over, which means that you can never trust your patch settings. This is reproducible after a reinstall, using an iPad Air 2 on 8.1.2.
I came across this obvious issue about 10 minutes after purchasing...
