He pulled it off! I’m very hyped for this
Me too! Man I've been dreaming of something like this!!
Heh, just after I complained about the dual-purpose knobs this one doesn't have them 😅
Looks fascinating. Particularly for those of us too chicken to risk damaging our hardware mixers!
You can do the same in aum, logic mixer and drambo but much more versatile.
Sounds good for drones. Colour me intrigued!
I see what you’re saying, I didn’t even realize it’s being powered by a noise source at first. I did try something like that in Drambo one time and just kind of forgot about it so I never did build on it but now I’ll have to find that project again
Ummm.... So what's happening here?
He's emulating a set up where you can use a mixer plugged into itself to make music
+1
Sarah Belle Reid has explored this technique quite a bit as well:

Yeah she's awesome too! Lover her mixer comparison video
Mmm this stuff is fun, I’ve not burned a mixer out with it yet, but I did destroy a laptop sound card about twenty years ago during an intense session at the old studio. I was dead lucky as the laptop was still in dellcare or whatever it was called, so just acted all innocent with the repair guy and he just replaced it on the spot, service at home as well!
Needless to say I didn’t do it again 😄
Hahahaha jammy!!
Yeah unbelievable, I’d only had it a few weeks, and it was second hand from a salesman type, the laptop was his firms so I guess he was adding to his monthly bonus 😅
He’s a mad genius but still a genius. Oh man this is an instabuy for me. Doing that with a mixer is one thing I miss about hardware so having it on iOS now will be excellent. Any ETA on this?
This will also be one of the only pure drone based AUs right? DroneLab is standalone, DroneFX is abandoned seemingly and also Standalone. Droneo is IAA only. Lots of apps can do drones but having a specialized one like this will be great.
@Svetlovska
One for you maybe
This will be fun.
I support Igor no matter what. Dude’s the man.
This looks like a lot of fun. ETA?
@cyberheater : Yes indeed! Up my alley it definitely is. I’ve actually been experimenting with the real thing recently on an old 4 input mixer I have. Which makes me hope that this software equivalent includes a limiter! It also needs automation, or at least, to expose everything to cc control. Here’s hoping. Looks like a good fit for the Moogerfoogers and the Baby Audio freebie pitch mod.
Curious as well. Haven’t seen a teaser on his Instagram yet either so maybe it’s a little further out and still very in development.
That baby audio pitch mod gets a ton of use outta me. Super quick way to get that old warble. I don’t have much hardware anymore and no physical mixers either so this is very much anticipated from me
I love the fact that Igor always think out of the box. We need him.
Now Nembrini just needs to come out with
a Death Metal emulation, and I can have an IOS version of my first noise setup: no input mixer/feedback loop, Ratshack Reverb, and Death Metal pedal.
That would be great. I make a lot of noise on iOS, it’s great for experimental things.
That pedal was wild haha, I forgot about that one
There's no shortage of old little Behringer mixers and I'm going to play more with mine, with and without audio input. I don't think there's much risk of destroying it as the internal supply voltage is limited and the Mic preamps should be safe enough to overdrive as long as I don't use high level external sources.
Anyone here who has done it with their hardware mixer?
Which feedback routings were the most fun?
I did it with an old Yamaha and Behringer mixer but it was years ago and I followed an online post so I can’t remember what I did lol it was fun though!
Looking forward to this. I use my K2600XS for feedback stuff. It’s nuts but doesn’t fit in my pocket for on the bus. Hopefully this will be on iPhone too, like most of his stuff. I like the new knobs! His most appealing looking app so far I think.
