  • I see this is number 4 in the US paid ipad music app charts. Did anyone notice how it was ranking yesterday? That app at number 1 seems hard to knock off the throne but it wouldn't surprise me if this made it to number 2 at some point

3-has issues with parameter modulation from host (drambo)!!Very weird response curves! This has to be fixed!

Igor replied to me saying that he'll look into it; I don't think it's the response curve but rather some form of param feedback (automation moves a knob, which in turn changes the param, which moves the knob)

  • The app won't record touch automation in Logic, you can only draw the automation in, not record it in real time.

I'm guessing it's because it doesn't properly report the touch events to the host.

oh. thats a no go then.

thanks really sad. is it stil not possible to record (write) simple xy key vertical/horizontal automation in cubasis? or maybe logic can.

  • I’ve been using live recorded xy automation in https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ddtctmcc/id6453841257 with NoInPutMixer

That's a good combo, because ddtctmcc (hate this app name!) gives that possibility of interesting looped and tweakable automations within as tight or wide a range as you like. Great idea to pair these

Thanks! Maybe you could also kindly suggest him to make filters go sub 100hz? I need 30-40hz bass drone badly😄

I always think that devs are more responsive when several people make the same request. Definitely strikes me as a bit of a weird omission

i can imagine that feedback stuff can get pretty quick useless when you blow stuff under 100hz into it. not in a useful way.

  • Worth mapping to a 8 x 6 faderfox and using that x/y app, in aum?

    Of course!

  • That’s got me thinking; would there be a way to map the faders to my 16n faderbank?

    Is the 8 x 6 enough control ?

It has midi learn built in, or you could use aum system or whatever

Haven't counted the parameters, you defo couldn't map everything.

I'll tell you the main thing I would like. Multi out! I'm very surprised it doesn't have it tbh

  • this app is absolutely amazing. I think there is nothing comparable out there?!
also cool to use it as Audio Unit in Ableton. Would be great to make the plugin resizable…

Yep this app is begging for multi out for sure.

Works great in desktop Logic too! Several of his more recent apps do as well.

I love a bargain price on iOS apps, but personally think the inclusion of excellent native macOS universal desktop functionality justifies a premium price. :)

Agreed. I think the price is very fair. It’s not another compressor or basic synth with little to differentiate itself from the pack. It’s a one of a kind sound design tool and probably has no need for an intro price, to be honest. Most of the sales happen in the first couple of weeks and this is a niche product. You’re probably going to know if it’s your thing. I’m sure it will eventually go on sale for those who don’t have the budget or are just a bit curious.

Igor is a gem of a developer. Let’s hope he makes enough back to keep motivated to develop these crazy creations.

For sure. Igor is one of - if not my favorite - developers on iOS. I have every app and love them all. This one is really special though.

Definitely. I think it should have been 20 bucks, maybe with a 15 buck intro

Cool, that’s good to know. Not even sure if my 16n is compatible with iPad, if not I can use nanokontrol or summat…

  • A very nice video about No Input mixing techniques:

Or maybe.. $15 intro… nice Black Friday sale… add randomizer and then kick it up to $20 with the update

Since I just play around with this stuff for fun… I’m more of a budget app freak, but when the developers ALSO make their app universally native for macOS too, I’m willing to pay a bit more of a premium

  • This is a good introduction to feedback mixing, but it is so much more fun and creative to build the feedback network yourself and you'll have a more expandable and controllable tool which is also more personal and will sound unique.

AUM is ideal for this and you'll end up with an even better experience because the gui is better and the app is easier connect and work with other gear. It doesn't take long to set up a basic system, maybe I'll do a tutorial at some point :)

if you build one in Ableton with the stock plugins, then you've also got one which is directly controllable with a Push, which is great fun too....
