  • Ok.. seems there is a great work around to looping… Copy-Paste to new pad, and edit… Nice way to get those Lumbeat Drum beats into Koala/Auv3.. 64 Bars to record and edit.. Nice..

  • Koala faked me out this morning . Saw a second update and was like yes it’s about to be a great weekend but it’s another big fix.

So waiting for the third update 😜😁

  • Before the weekend would be amazing

    Hahaha the same

  • FWIW, I get discouraged trying to use Koala for its piano roll and note sequencing.

But it's super smooth in the workflow for capturing audio (mostly my voice).

I still love its sequencer but I’m issuing it more for launching weird loops and harsh noise/ambient drones. It’s AMAZING for that.

Agreed, never got on with the sequencer. Still wishing for a performance oriented version that only does sample playback, maybe especially now as the whole thing is becoming more complex. I know it's just to leave the extras alone, but I want Elf Audio to make as much from their apps as possible, and a stripped-down version could generate more revenue.

My biggest grip with the sequencer was that it was super weird to change patterns but the new option to queue them on the beat bar or end of pattern make it great.

I really like koala but I don’t use it much because I always feel I’m missing send fx

  • I need to get back into koala again. I used to churn out albums with it but I’ve been a total bum in the creativity department lately

Ah that sucks, sorry to hear mate. I go through phases as well. Luckily I’m the opposite right now and have been making a lot of music. Koala is for sure one of my most used. Maybe the new update will inspire some creativity in you when it comes out :)

  • I heard Tuesday for the big drop !

Now it's a while since I used the app because of my hw sampler, but isn't the workflow made to support resampling? Scary at first, but great for committing and thus becoming more effective.

Yes! I’m just not used to that workflow since I always work on midi, might try sometime

My wallet is ready! I don't know what the IAP will have, but I'm ready to support @elf_audio . :)

    Fair! Koala is too cheap

Yea I’m ok supporting quality products like Koala, it’s certainly more than worth what I paid so far 👍

  • $5 was the quoted price. Worth it to me. A quality product that has given free upgrades out.

  • I agree. Some apps are expensive and are sometimes worth it but not always staples in my workflow. Some apps are subscription based, and with the exception of a couple of apps, most are not worth it.

Now when it comes to Koala, they really charge a low price for the main app and the IAPs, and yet it's one of the most useful staples on iOS!

I hope is worth it to the developer, super cheap.

I don't even use koala that much as I said, but it's there when I need it (usually as an audio recorder) so I have all the IAPs

  • cool. when is the drop?

  • Original price plus the samurai update and now this paid update. It’s easily a $20 app

  • I'm personally glad to see a dev who's likely able to make a decent enough living off of doing ios music app development full time. Imagine a world where that was the rule rather than the exception
