Don’t worry, if anything these years on the beta have told me is that @giku_beepstreet can handle the pressure. Actually I believe he welcomes it, crazy genius he is, but he does things his way and at his own time (but it always turns out perfect in the end)

I’ve worked with a decent amount of animation and a lot of video, so i’m used to the terminology of those mediums I suppose. If what you called shader events cover the keyframes intended smooth transition frames but as events rather than disregard my previous comment.

While I’m thinking of it, I suppose with p-locks / automation smoothing can be achieved already so that might help in some aspects. but it’s when you get into layering and separate intended objects being the focal point of a story, whether background or foreground, to transition within an intended storyline, than keyframes become essential, in animation at least, masks as well while I’m at it.

Granted audio visual videos don’t typically tell stories like music videos do, but I do think that’s the missing component of visuals. Smooth transitions within an environment as Drambo so one could get into different visuals per verses/choruses/bridges/etc would be incredible.

If there’s other ways to achieve this within shaders / Drambos modular approach that I can’t think of currently it would be fun to figure out.

But if that’s beyond the scope of shaders and this approach, than it’s no bother to use something like Toonsquid and bring in video.

I also wonder if chroma keying will be in Drambo considering bringing video is already as well as a blending shaders type of mixer it seems.

This approach is all new to me so I’m sure there’s some overlap I’m missing, as most who are used to those other mediums probably will as well, since shaders are still niche comparatively to video and even animation. Still, exciting nonetheless 🙂

I’m currently in a position to only speculate. From what I saw in the latest Giku video, there are new signal types (UV, Image, InTexture, etc.). Everything is nicely organized into modules. Alpha keying has been implemented, along with motion, edge, and color detection, etc. So, it’s reasonable to expect that everything is already integrated with the existing automation and sequencing.

The ‘projector device’ have ‘1:1, HDMI’ markings, so I guess it’s already possible to record output, allowing us to import results into DaVinci Resolve or ToonSquid or whatever.

This is madness as it is! And there are lots of possibilities for the new features. 🤩

It’s already planned so that’s good. And Screen Recording uses a bit of CPU and since Apple doesn’t let you choose what kind of quality those files end up being huge.

Also recording just the output of the video with different export/format settings might be ideal for most, including aspect ratios for sharing on socials.

The least amount of friction, which this seems to be aiming for, is best for people to use for their creations and being able to share them quickly without having to mess around between multiple apps 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah ok, I wouldn’t mind if it would render a final video with sound + visuals, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves 😅

Almost all correct. 1:1 is for accommodating external screens. If you read back giku mentioned that recording/rendering is planned for the future - so as of now that’s a no.

That’s more than I anticipated. 👍 The videos will speak for themselves. 😌
