I appreciate you trying to replicate my problems, but I have since rebooted several times, opened a new Cubasis project and launched 2 instances then 3 instances of BS, loaded a different preset for each instance, closed and relaunched Cubasis and the problem still exists. This has only happened since I updated BS to v1.02.
Absolutely everything is up to date.
Incidentally - yesterday morning I updated my iPadOS16 to 16.1 after I updated BS? Something has definitely changed. If midi program change was available I could set the presets for each individual instance.
Thanks for trying though 🙂
2nd v1.02 bug - Midi Mappings disappeared.
I have discovered a 2nd bug since this latest update, all my BS Midi Mappings have disappeared and for some reason BS won’t let me re-enter them! I have the original MIDI Mappings.btrm that I created weeks ago in the Files app but there is no way I can send that file back into BS, tapping the PRESETS+ tab opens a NEW MIDI MAP but that does nothing.
This surely can’t just be a coincidence that saved presets randomly change when launched inside Cubasis and now Midi Mappings have vanished.
Save those maps and maybe presets you'd made and want to keep separate, and then delete and reinstall BS. Not saying it will help but it might be worth a try.
Ok thanks, I will give it a go….
Thanks PxIhg for suggesting I delete BS. I saved the original files and folders and after reinstalling BS I pasted them back into the new BS folder, the presets now load correctly in Cubasis and remain in place, but midi mapping won’t work and if I tap on the PRESETS + tab - BS locks up, I can’t even send the original mappings file to BS because nothing happens!
Once again thank you 🍻🍻🍻🍻
It sucks with problems, what can you do? How does BS behave in standalone then, same issues with those maps?
Edit: Did you test BS in Cubasis before you added your old files back? If something is corrupt in there ..🙃
reported this to Arto, he already found/fixed bug with not working saving new map (disabled "OK" button) , problem with disappeared mappings still needs investigation .. but i guess after he fix it they aggain appear, doesn\t see reasp why they should be physically deleted so it's probably just some UI glitch Just patience ..
Thank you guys, I never expected such a fast helpful response 🙂
After reinstalling BS this morning I checked and attempted to reinstate the midi mappings in both stand-alone and AUv3 in Cubasis before adding my presets but there was nothing, usually I could slide my finger to the left on the CONTROLS window in the MIDI CC MAPPER and all the available parameters would become visible but this has been disabled. I can relax knowing it’s being looked into 😉
Ah, it's a pity you reinstalled BS - that way you effectively deleted your stored maps :-( Because if you did not reinstalled it, they would reappear again after next update. Reinstalling app == deleting all data which app stored in it's users document space.
Golden rule is - if you had something somewhere saved and it disappeared after update, it's usually just bug in code but data are still there.
I still have the original Midi Mapping.btrm file. I only deleted BS after it was suggested this may put things right, besides, it did cure the problem where a different preset would load when launched in Cubasis,
ah ok cool … so then next update will fix it
Hopefully 🤞
I am experiencing quite a few cases of BS seeming to crash when switching presets with the next /previous preset button. The window contents go gray and sometimes BS will redraw the interface but be back at the default preset. Sometimes it fully crashes and needs to be reloaded.
This was in Loopy Pro on an iPad 6 with iOS 16.6. I haven’t had a chance to try in AUM. The issue is intermittent but happens pretty frequently.
I've past it along to Arto, it has been issues with the menu before. Hopefully a fix will arrive asap.
Please have him try in Loopy Pro. I just checked in AUM and the issue wasn't happening in quite the same way. In AUM, I haven't had the crash or the blank background, but I have seen it go to Default rather than the next preset.

Done!
Ipad pro 2nd gen lightning cable into usb B into usb A then into my Edirol PCR-800 controller keyboard. It's never worked and as @dendy said it was never implemented from first release.
it's never worked for me. ipad pro 2nd gen into edirol pcr-800.
It was not in initial 1.0 release but as i know it was added in first (1.01) update so it’s weird it doesn’t work for you.
Like when you turn on sustain pedal and play notes - no note keeps playing after you release note ?
Is this happeming with standalone or plugin ? If plugin, what host ? Can you try also standalone ?
Are you 100% sure your keyboard is sensing susrain CC inzo ipad ? Does it work work woth other app supporting this ?
I can’t test it i haven’t any external keyboard with sustain pedal
It is working fine for me. Check with a midi monitor to make sure the cc you expect us arriving in ButterSynth and isn’t inverted.

Works for me, iphone11
@Sandstorm : about the sustain pedal....keep in mind that a sustain pedal requires that the patch's envelope has a sustain stage (non-0 value) and for the sustain pedal down to happen before the sustain stage completes. if you use a sustain pedal with a patch that doesn't have a sustain stage, the sustain pedal won't (and shouldn't) have an impact.
@Sandstorm
the button in the video labeled sustain, sends sustain on and when tapped again sends sustain off. notice that when the sustain button is on, the buttersynth sustain stage remains on.
@Pxlhg @espiegel123 @dendy. Thanks guys for your help.
So I was on version 1.01 and couldn't get any sustained notes via the pedal. I updated to 1.02 and it now works perfectly with sustained notes via the pedal. Funny thing is, I too, am experiencing issues with some patches having no volume when changing sounds.
I mean yeah there are some glitches but it’s still an amazing app. Have you tried it?
can you be speciffic ? which patches .
