So far as i remember it was working always this way ..
Thanks. Another observation. In Loopy Pro and in AUM, there is a huge CPU spike (usually maxing out the CPU) when a new preset loads. On my iPad , CPU will jump from around 20% or less to 98% or more for a few seconds before settling back down.
fantastic piece of work, thanks for sharing .. sound is really big !
can you try same in other host ? Is it crashing that way only in Loopy ?
I tried NS, Cubasis, Logic - no crash whatsovere even when switching presets super fast during playback.
@dendy:I said earlier that I am not seeing it in AUM and also that I see it in the iPad ) and not iPhone XS
ah sorry didn’t noticed rhat, thanks
Little freshness in ButterSynth's look!
Luxtor: Cool, love blue one !! Forwarded it to Arto ))
The dark side should look like:
@Luxthor I love all those colour choices. Music to my eyes… fingers crossed we can see them implemented 👍🏻🍻
Thanks PDK; my intention was to shift this thread in a colorful direction.
Thank you ☺️
Oooh that middle grey theme is doing things to me 😄
This is real nice, but I don't like the grunge map, a bit more subtle might do it. Now, it's too visible imo.
No problemos!
You removed it all? I mean the idea is good just too visible. Damn, it's a real sexy look!😁
Drag-n-droped the wrong jpg, sorry!
I edited the post at the same time you asked. You are too quick! 😝
I don’t know. I’m gonna have to disagree with you on that one. Creativity, or lack thereof, isn’t what we’re talking about here. At least I wasn’t. I’m talking about a product , and what it comes with, and what I thought it should have come with.
I’m picturing you, as an art teacher, handing some paint, a few different brushes, and a canvas with the Mona Lisa already painted on it to his students. (Student raises hand “is this part of the test?”)
“If you ask me, i am always creating presets which i personally would immediately use in my music”
See, not everyone makes the same kind of music as you.
I might be in the minority (in this thread), but I’d rather not work from starting with a complex patch made by someone else, “tweak 2-3 parameters, etc,” to get to the sound I want. Do I know how to do all that? Sure, this ain’t rocket science. Do I want to? Nah, not really… I’d rather start from the ground up, or at least a more subtle starting point, and craft my own sounds, being that ButterSynth and all of its amazing tools and capabilities are right there and available. Isn’t that part of its selling point?
I bought ButterSynth right when it came out because it has the dual Wavetable oscillators, the FM synthesis, the granular and sample based engines, and all of the modulation and effect capabilities, and I’m fine with just the INIT preset. (Or the more subtle patches made by @gregsmith, which I think are exactly what the “factory presets” should sound like.)
I don’t really consider myself a rookie at sound design either, though I’m more of a musician over a sound designer. See, a musician can be creative with a rubber band and a block of wood. It’s why it doesn’t matter if it’s a $200 guitar, or a $5000 guitar, a musician can be “creative” and make music with either one. But I’m speaking for potential customers that might be looking for a synth that has intuitive controls that they can use to create their sounds with. I just thought it might have come with a set of “factory presets” (like Greg’s) that were more subtle starting points for crafting one’s own sounds.
Really like this one. Would love to see some black dials 😉😉
Yeah I disagree with the beginner thing as well. IMO, ButterSynth is a fantastic option for beginner and experienced sound designers alike. It’s user friendly, and everything is laid out and easy to find.
And thank you for understanding my point.
I respect your and @Pxlhg's opinions; personally, I will never give BS to a beginner. Because it is a super synth. They need something simple: to know the basics, master all functions, and concentrate on the character and nuances of the sound.
Butter Synth is a powerful and easy-to-master synth. I'll give you that! 😝
If @gregsmith were ok with it, I think they would be great if included as a set that comes with ButterSynth.
IMO, the presets that come with ButterSynth are a pretty reasonable set of presets. I can see a case for wanting a set of basics included but find it hard to see what is currently included as being unreasonable.
Just for you, my friend, Black Mamba! 😎
I really like this one two👌
Sexy! 😋
These are reminding me of the Flowtones skins. I love that feature.
They’re in the Recollection folder in the latest release
@Luxthor awesome colorings! Makes me want to use BS more, and yes maybe im a simple minded child, but it looks better with any of those designs
So, "problem" solved!
