16 bars for sequencer would be great

I'm finding that using the Frequency of hits really cuts down on the number of bars needed. You can throw hits in and have them hit only every 2nd bar, etc.

Also, there will be scene change actions so that we will be able to chain scenes together in any order. 4 scenes = 16 bars. That's what seems to be the vision anyway.

That’s a similar model to how the OP-Z gets around what initially seems a very limiting 1 bar sequence…

This is exactly what I intuitivly did without ever feeling that 16 bars was missing. But it has been added with the latest update so good for those who feit like it was an ommision

  • Sorry if this has already been asked but is there a problem hosting Nodes in Logic? Only just using it for the first time.

Can't get the midi from Nodes to record into Logic. I'm selecting "Record MIDI to Track Here" option but when I hit record on Logic I get nothing. This is just a simple 1 node sequenced

    Works fine in Cubasis.

Fair points on frequency parameter. Still 8 bars would be nice for sequencer since piano roll has 8/16 as well now.

For rhythm node, it would be cool if the steps per note could be different for polyrhythms.

You can make polyrhythms duplicating the node and setting a different steps length

All 3rd party Midi FX in Logic don’t record on same track as far as I’m aware.
Just tried Chordbud 2 and that doesn’t record either.
You need to send out via bus to a second audio track to record audio created from 3rd party Midi FX.

Drambo does. I'm not trying to get any audio, just want to have Nodes lay down it's midi to Logic's sequencer.

Just tried ChordBud 2 and it's working just fine for me.

Some setting on Nodes I'm missing?

  • Must say it is hard to do AUM after EG Node.. you just want to change Scenes/Snapshots in AUM..

How can I randomise the lanes in rhythm mode? Any chance to randomise all lanes at once?

Hold down the control note button (to the right of the swing button) and then tap on a lane that you wish to randomize.. let go of control note button and tap the dice button (above the steps button).. repeat with different lanes.. can’t randomize all lanes at once yet..

I’d love to be able to shift these randomizations forward or back (1 step at a time) in order to align things to the downbeat if needed.

Yes, up down lane selectors would be fantastic. Even better, a narrow lane selector at left/right of the piano roll.

Bumping to ask for dev's input @ElliottGarage

Unless I'm missing something silly, Nodes hosted in Logic won't output its MIDI. I only bought it to use inside Logic.

Fixed the midi recording in Logic (I left a row in code commented  )
I'm waiting for apple to publish an updated today or tomorrow and the I'll insert the fix in the following one

What was the line you 'uncommencted' as the Gadget AUv3's seem to suffer from a similar issue when used with LogicPro for iPad :sunglasses:

  • @Samu ahahah I'm gonna make a call to Mr Korg :D

Do so, I've already filed a 'bug-report' regarding AUv3 Automation and Midi-Recording not working in LogicPro for iPad when using the Gadget AUv3's :sunglasses:

Is it just me, or, there is no randomize button (dice) on my Generative Node, on both of my devices?
Was wondering why others found this Node so nice… 😊

Edit.. from the Gen Mode Video..

    Mine..

  • In loopy pro I can’t get the midi input channels to work in anything but channel 1. I was using two different generators and wanted to separate them into two different piano roll nodes going into two different instruments. If I manually put in the notes into the piano roll it works to control the instruments separately, but it only receives midi on channel 1. This setup seems to work fine in AUM. Could be a bug?

So I just got it to work with MFXstrip in loopy pro so maybe it is a bug within Loopy or a misunderstanding on my part. I’ve used the channel filtering for other things in Loopy plenty of times but for some reason in this instance it is not working. Could still be something I’m doing wrong not sure.

I'm not seeing that. It receives on whatever channel I set by tapping the midi plug icon at the top-right of the node.

[edit] on further reading I'm not sure I understand what you're doing. All I can say is that in Loopy Pro, just like AUM, whatever channel I set as the output channel using the midi plug icon is the channel that the node receives on.

  • Is there a way to midi map the piano roll record button in the AUv3?

  • Good app but without a convenient song mode, it loose a lot of interest. The scene buttons are a joke to use, much too limited (only 8...come on) and it is a weird choice that the toggle is active or not on all scenes. In the actual mode, it is almost impossible to reproduce a song. I hope that the dev will really consider an improvement here as it can really push this app to another level

Seems not. Nor in the standalone. You may want to make a feature request for that: https://eg-nodes.canny.io

  • @cuscolima song mode is coming...probably in the next week

Done! I really like the workflow and potential of this app, really awesome! But yea I started to modify a loopy pro template I had today to use this for midi instead of Drambo. But yea not having the record this way is a big disadvantage for me in comparison. I would have to open nodes, then find the node, then open the piano roll, and then press record, kinda takes me out of just jamming and coming up with stuff. Still very useful right now, not quite a replacement for Drambo yet if I can’t just press a button and record and go.
