  • Kinda skint so still resisting, though I just know I’ll grab it eventually, and probably take the ‘complete my Hainbach’ offer on the desktop version at some point, if that stands long enough…

  • I admire Hainbach very much, but I rarely get anything as musical out of his apps as he does himself. And yet I keep buying them. I think I managed to avoid the last one, but this one will probably trap me yet again.

Thanks! Glad to see they’re exposed so there’s a way to modulate. I’m assuming those take the place of the patch points on the actual hardware. I’m about to watch Hainbachs new video on the plugin to getter a better view of everything. So far though, I’m loving it. Really fun.

Right?? It’s up there with Wires and Noises for me. Im having a blast but I really gotta get to bed lol I hate how much of an AudioThing fanboy I’ve become 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Heh, me too. I swore I’d skip Mantis, then bought it. Same with Minibit, which I ended up springing for last night!

Haha I was the same way with Mantis, especially since I already had Ratshack. But then I saw a demo of it and it wore me down. I have them all now 😆

Hopefully there will be an intro price, I’m guessing the regular price will be the usual £19.99

There is an intro price- it’s £12.99 until Oct 26th when it goes up to £19.99 - annoying when you just miss the deadline isn’t it?

I really wish that more thought went into what dates offers run to. The vast majority of people are paid on the last day of the month, and finishing an offer a week before the pay month ends really makes a difference when contemplating purchasing an app. Could I afford this on the 26th? Probably not, but I could definitely do so on the 1st.

Let’s face it though - the point of intro pricing is not really to give things to the user cheaper, in general - it is to create fomo! Also, do I remember wrongly that a lot of people in the States get paid every two weeks? Also, I think paydays differ massively in different countries! In China for example (not that China has much relevance to the app buying market), paydays are generally nothing to do with the end of the month.

It differs a lot even in the states. My wife is every 2 weeks, I get paid weekly, and my best friend gets paid monthly. I’d say majority is weekly then bi-weekly is a close second. I think most teachers here get paid monthly though.

    Indeed we are!

Don’t have desktop but I have all the iOS apps he’s done. I’m hoping AudioThing will port Motors eventually. I think that’s the only one of his that hasn’t made it to iOS yet.

Likewise crossing my fingers Motors gets ported. In the livestream the big H did with the AudioThing guy a while back he said they’d started Motors first but it needed sidechaining - I pointed out in the chat that sidechaining is possible using multi ins/outs on iOS (suggested he look at RoughRider 3 as an example), and H pointed out the comment to him, so maybe it’s one of the ones they have in the pipeline.

Oh sweet, thanks! Wonder if it’ll be priced the same as the other “Things” apps.

I think I remember reading on here of IG that they were planning on porting almost all, if not all, of their apps. But I can’t remember if it was AudioThing or Baby Audio I read that about. So hopefully that’s the case, but who knows. I’m just stoked to have them in the ecosystem. I’ve been lusting after their stuff from afar for years since I don’t have a desktop/laptop right now.

  • Is there any difference between the ios and desktop versions?

    Not that I'm aware.

  • What other apps are similar to this one - noise generation and can be used as an effect?

NoInputMixer comes to mind. Rymdigare to a much lesser extent. The modulars like MiRack and Drambo too, but it seems a bit like cheating ;)

Ah okay. I don’t have any experience with the hardware and they looked like patch points at first glance.

Great! I’ll read through that later on tonight too. This seems like one of those apps that really opens up once you fully dive in and learn it through and through.

I think so too. There’s a handful of theirs I still really wanna see. I’m hoping we may get one of their drum machine plugins next. And I know the Philcorda is supposedly next in line.
