ABF charity horror music compilation. All submissions welcome, deadline: 27th October!
Hi all, it has been suggested that we make a Halloween themed compilation album, for distribution on bandcamp, with the possibility of making a bit of money for charity, specifically “Medecins sans Frontieres” (also known as Doctors Without Borders), a non political, non religious charity which provides urgent medical care to those who need it the most.
The theme is horror, so make your tracks as spooky or horrific as you like! There’s no song limit length and I guess the only stipulation is that iOS is used in some way for the creation of the tracks.
I will accept one track per artist, any and all submissions will be included!
Please send your tracks/download links to my email at: [email protected], with the email subject ABF horror, or something similarly clear.
I’d be grateful if you name the file in this way: SONG TITLE - ARTIST NAME eg:

deadline: 27th October… AT MIDNIGHT… I will upload all tracks and publish the album on the 28th October, and then provide the link in this thread for sharing around the place.

“Target the loudness level of your master at -14 dB integrated LUFS and keep it below -1 dB TP (True Peak) max. This is best for the lossy formats we use (Ogg/Vorbis and AAC) and will ensure no extra distortion is introduced in the transcoding process”

I think short deadlines are better. If it's too far away, people just procrastinate. Thanks for taking this on! MsF sounds fine to me too

If you asked me that question I’d have a hard time answering - I tend not to pick up on soundtracks generally, unless they’re exceptional (a non-horror one that immediately springs to mind is Neil Young’s soundtrack for Dead Man, which is one of my favourite films, too). But the Popol Vuh soundtrack for Nosferatu is amazing. Oddly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the film itself.
