And grooves can be different for each Part.
Can't help it, can't put it down! I haven't had so much fun creating music since the launch of Audiobus. Or when I first bought Maschine, which still serves me well.

Another samplr + electribe jam
My second pattern I made last Sunday and recorded tonight. I do love this thing:-)
This may sound like obvious but...
Is the Gate Arpeggiator in the Electribe able to arpeggiate single and multiple, strum the chords, up/downs, repeated notes etc? (I've read there's like 50 different gate-arpeggiator patterns, but so far no info on what kind of patterns, and so far non of the dealers has it in store here to play with). And how about simple 'gate patterns' without re-triggering the notes?
So far I'm pretty impressed what you guys are doing here, way better than what the 'official' dude (Mistabishi) who's doing the Korg Demos has shown so far...
Great stuff to all above.
I'm thinking of picking one up next week. How well does this sync and integrate with a DAW (Cubase)? Does it have all the connections required for audio in/out + MIDI in & sync, etc? It looks like it shouldn't be a prob going by Tarekiths video, but just asking if anyone hooked it up like that yet?
The gate arp patterns are all single notes, no chords and the like. The different patterns are mainly timing and groove variations, but there's a lot of them and you can combine the gate arp with the touch scale at the same time.
For gate patterns, there's a. Couple slicer insert effects you can use, and the edit knob changes the speed. If you record realtime tweaking of this, you can make your own patterns to some extent.
Hey the volca sampler sounded great. Everything I've heard from the Electribe sounds like bad presets though. Nothing sounded fresh to my ears like op-1. I feel like I'm listening to 90s electronica. Sorry but this is just my opinion. I'm glad I didn't jump the gun on this one...
You can use the iPad to do some nice arpegios. I just played with Soundprism and Chordion.
Also, here's some hip-hop

It does indeed sound a bit cheesy, thin & cheap. But it's also a cheap piece of hardware, relatively speaking. I see it as bit 'n pieces of Gadget thrown into a box w/ real knobs, real pads etc which always = a lot more fun then software.
Give it time, most people have barely even had it two weeks yet.

did you mean the op-1 sounds like 90s electronica or did you mean you wish the electribe sounded as good as the op-1?
The OP-1 can do some really cool, unique, deep sounds, but the depth and sense of space on the electribe is sooo much better for me. I guess it just depends on what kind of sounds turn you on
I'm just trying to make sure I understood what he said regarding the op-1 I hope he responds
I think you just have to push the machine a bit further to avoid the slightly generic euro dance feel that the electribes seem to excel at. (Unless that's what you want of course.)
At least that is my experience with the older ES1 and the last EMX models.

You can do some crazy shit sounding stuff on it, like those ring modulated wobble basses, but that's not exactly my thing. I like more mellow stuff and I have no problem sounding like the 90s. I grew up back then.
Ditto, can't help but be influenced by the time when I got into electronic music.
can it be compared to Arturia Spark or Spark 2?
No idea personally, never used those myself.
@Goozoon said:
Not really. Electribe = Hardware, Spark = Software + Controller. Beside this difference, Spark is for drums only.
Spark can play samples so. Chromatically. I reviewed one. It didn't do chords though. I haven't tested version 2, and yes Spark is like Maschine, a hybrid.
Hardware... Is it full analogue? Btw?
@Goozoon said:
he meant standalone
No i ment electribe, is it analogue or somekinf of hybrid
Totally digital.
so it is sampler like.. kind of
No it's not. The basic synth shapes are rendered realtime. It uses PCM only for drums & other sample based instruments.
