    ATTENTION PLEASE - StaffPad IAP

I think I just found a rabbit hole. There is no information about this in AppRaven, StaffPad website, etc.. I provide prices after checking in the app on my iPad. Did I miss something or this is the biggest StaffPad IAP sale ever? Or it is a glitch in my AppStore... All $100 IAPs are discounted to $20 and some to $10. Most of the big IAP was previously discounted to $70 only (some to $50-$35). Whoever wanted to buy IAP is now having his dream come true... I know it's still very expensive, but on the other hand it's never been so cheap. Enjoy

Which one complete library is best to buy from that three in your opinion / or is it better to buy different parts from each library?

Wow! I bought staffpad today and am blown away. The Berlin Brass sounds awesome. This a composers dream app.. I hope these stay on sale a while so I can pick up some more packs on the cheap!

I just bought StaffPad today and have just won the 'worst buy' award having spent $70 NZD on this app alone. I didn't realise that it is almost totally dependent on having an Apple Pencil, which I don't have.
While Notion Mobile has pencil support too, its fully usable from Touch alone, and I was hoping for the same with StaffPad.

The default sounds are terrible compared to Notion as well, and although I got the Muse sounds too, and understand the IAP ones are way better sounding, it's all unusable without a pencil :-(

Ouch. Yeah a pencil is a must unfortunately. I also thought the default sounds were not that impressive (some), the IAP are better. The muse sounds are nice for free, especially the flute which sounds very pretty, better than the paid ones I think.. I will be using staffpad mostly for my brass arrangements. Honestly it’s been a little frustrating so far, it doesn’t easily recognize my handwriting, will have to adapt to it.

Thanks for the additional info about need for pressure sensitivity. For the first time ever, I bailed, and requested a refund, however will do some further research and may try again in the future. I only really wanted it to try a few things and have plenty of other musical projects that don't require the kind of quality of orchestration I was hoping to get 'easily' through StaffPad.

I'm looking for a good acid app for that 303 sound. Does Pure Acid or Troublemaker ever go on sale? Or maybe Poison 202?

Pure Acid is brilliant. It just went on sale but the last two years it’s half off on Christmas - 1st. Randomly just said earlier today it’s a GOAT app for me probably top 5. Multiout AUV3 some dope presets and honestly getting going from init is really easy. The bass synth / seq is incredible. Slides!!!

Bram only does the Black Friday deal and picks a few of his apps. From what I can tell. All of his apps are priced really well and worth the price. I’ve never regretted paying full for this - ymmv - I don’t have troublemaker so I can’t say how great it is but looks dope!

Can’t say on Poison 202 but I bet it’s good.

Troublemaker's envelope and filter don't sound much like a 303 (flatter, maybe a x0xb0x?); it does come with a bonus AUv3 "modded" for extra coolity.

Poison-202 is more of an extended Access Virus clone and isn't meant for acid in particular, as I understand.

If you happen to have DRC, then you already have a very convincing acid synth, imo.

    Much appreciated!

Absolutely! I went absolutely bonkers in the 2019 app sales. Vast majority of stuff I bought, I never went on to use. Sales are beneficial to highly discerning consumers only. Their cons outweigh their pros for consumers led by fomo rather than wisdom, and for who have difficulty exercising impulse control.
