Has anyone emailed the devs from their site? It doesn’t seem like either of them are very active here in general. One hasn’t been on since January.

I did, and got a fast response. "Based on our initial findings, it appears to be an issue specific to Moog synthesizers"

They are working on it, and I hope there will be a (fast) solution.

Edit: and they've fixed it today!

  • is anyone updated to the ipadOS 26.5 and is using siderack and the ipad?

i have noticed, the older USB A ports on a m1 mac mini, dont seem to be working with Siderack and the ipad siderack server duo
is anyone else noticing this on their Ipad

USB-C albeit the thunderbolt ports seem to be working fine with siderack,
this may have changed since the update of ipadOS 26.5

i dont have my other ipad air 3 with ipad OS 18.x to confirm this behaviour, where i recall i could always connect over the USB A ports

if anyone could confirm this behaviour with ipadOS 26.x that siderack is only operating via the USBC port, it would confirm my suspicions that this might indeed be a bug?

  • i just ran a test on my budget iphoneSE2020, using the duo app and siderack... it indeed works with my m1 usb A ports
and interestingly i could use Siderack with both the ipad & iphone simultaneously with siderack on separate tracks, which is just great!

but would need further confirmation that someone else is noticing the siderack is only connecting via USBC on 26.5

    @satoshiszk could you test this?

  • @triple7, have you checked whether straight-up iDAM is working for you over USB-C? If it's not working that that points to something wrong with the way things are connected, or possibly a cable or hub issue.

@triple7 I have an M1 Mac mini too, so I'll test it out.

As wim mentioned, it's probably a cable or hub issue. I'll let you know the results!

Love seeing everyone helping each other out here, thanks @wim !

    thanks for the suggestion
i tried out various usbA to usbC cable, and it does indeed work on the USBA port, which does point to a faulty cable
so my assuming it was a bug, was a false alarm... my bad :-s

@satoshiszk false alarm, sorry to cause panic lol, turns out it was indeed a cable issue, and the odd occasion of not pushing the usbc plug in properly

Haha no worries at all, no need to apologize! I deal with bad cables all the time too, and they're surprisingly hard to troubleshoot. Definitely not your fault.

Glad you figured it out, and thanks for the update!

Hey @triple7 - sometimes even flipping an otherwise good USB-C cable 180 degrees in the socket can make a difference. Go figure, eh? 🤷🏼‍♂️
