Enjoying the app lots, but these pix are making me want to get a better iPhone. (Mine is a first-gen SE/6S.)

Yeah it’s a real shame that I can’t get this app on my iPhone 6 *.

Understood. Unfortunately it uses quite a few API features that really require the newer hardware. I reckon it has to do with hardware requirements for offloading accelerated image manipulations to the GPU.

The cutoff point coincides with Apple moving over to their own integrated SoC designs instead of generic ARM chips in the iPhones and iPads - so it seems this minimum requirement is less arbitrary than usual with Apple 😉

Sure thing Bram. Wasn't complaining so much as registering my disappointment - because it's such a great app!

Typical American tourists, lots of blah blah blah and loud voices..... ;-))

taking pics of others just to mock them online; classy.

You thought wrong, they asked me! Got it?

That's not mockery, it's just an observation and not meant in a bad way. But you can always see something negative in everything, can't you?

Your photo and commentary were definitely negative.

Doubling-down by being purposefully obtuse; even classier.

Golly gee wiz, I sure love XP4N! Isn't it a wonderful distraction from all the nastiness in the world? I wish there was a place people could just hang out and have fun talking about how cool it is. 😎

  • Hey 👋

Aside from what appears to be a soon to be closed thread ;) - can someone tell me if my last couple of photo posts are viewable?

I’m in a very remote place with barely a cell signal. I posted a couple black and whites a day or so ago, and a handful last night. However, all I’m seeing are question mark broken graphics. If my recent ones are showing as broken, please let me know. I’ll just delete them and maybe try at a later date when I have better access.

It’s possible that they posted fine and I just can’t load them due to bad connectivity and timing out.

Exactly. Tell that to KirbyMumbo 😎

  • All present and correct @skiphunt . Are those funny round things in the b&w of Wirikuta stones or plants ?

my last comment on the matter since I also just wanted to see some cool photos. You're framing me as being inflammatory when you said some rude things and then retreated, as expected. Maybe just keep posting your admittedly nice shots and keep the slander of others to a minimum, assuming you actually want to avoid a conversation about it.

    Those are peyote cactus 🌵

Thanks for the confirmation. I was hoping my online access would improve after the crowd left from the fiesta 🪅 last night. It’s indeed a little better but still extremely slow with broken graphics displayed.

Old radio studios for Bel RTL in Belgium, they're used as an emergency backup now

Indeed, visited several times, but still have to make it beyond the Yucatan, Chiapas and the Lacondon Region.

All the locals keep telling me Oaxaca is the place to be these days.

Thanks...it was a pretty weird morning. Everything dead quiet then someone started talking further down the street...scared the crap out of the dog... :)

Great, now I need to stalk the weather report to chase those inspiring fog moments. 🤩 Thank you for sharing.

XP4N extravaganca! (Low Light - Cinestill)

This one is taken with old night mode before any updates.

  • @skiphunt - love the Mexico shots! Great stuff.
@Luxthor - when you say “night mode”, is that the same as “lowlight”? Or is there a night mode I missed?

Sorry, it’s the wrong habit from the start, this mode is “Low Light - Cinestill”, I need to adapt. 🤦‍♂️

They could be considered alien 👽 cocoons after ingesting I suppose 😝

I’m sure your images and others are great too, but I unfortunately can’t see any of them. Very slow connection and loading a bunch of question mark icons instead of images
