  • @sugus oh wow! How did I miss the building reflection shot! That is a great use of the tall format. Wonderful shot.

  • Yeah, this thread is kind of a temporal distortion in the music forum, and I like it a lot. 🫶

  • @Luxthor - those are all great, but the first two are especially awesome. 😎

  • @Luxthor Almost seems like infrared images converted to B/W—highly weird in a fascinating way. Also, wherever that place is, it's awesome. 👍

Thank you. 🤗 I tried to align them by the theme: couple, journey, celebration, rest.

Yeah, it’s the sunlit on the background trees, and “Contrast B&W” is orthochromatic film simulation, so it should be green-blue sensitive with little to no red sensitivity. Thank you! 🤗

Awesome shots, and great use of the telephoto lens as well. 🥇

The most romantic is one with a person and dogs. 🤩 I like the others, low-tide idyllic shots, too.

The blue lines issue is definitely a concern, but if you read the comments in that video people are also getting it with the 15 Pro.

Everything is fine with mine 15 Pro Max. Did you test your 16?

Yes, it has this issue and is going back to Apple tomorrow and should pass its replacement on the way to me. My wife's and bunch of neighbors tried theirs and had no issues at all, so it's not all phone that are effected. Apple support was quick and painless about the issue, they clearly know about it.

That’s very good to know that they’re aware and took care of it. However, that dude in the video @Luxthor referenced said he swapped his 16pro out and the replacement had the issue too. Would like to know once you get your replacement if the problem is gone. If you could please let us know I’d appreciate it :)

Problem is totally gone on the replacement iPhone 16 Pro, no blue lines at all.

  • That second one is great @wim

Central Oregon. The witches paddle is a yearly thing here, sadly raining and very cold this year so a lot less witches on SUPs than usual.

I’m using the iOS shortcuts app. If you scroll up thread you can see the steps in my shortcut. Or, I airdrop to the Mac and use the preview app’s resize image tool.

I used to use Image Size before the shortcuts app came along. That works well too.

I was using Photomator to resize on iOS but this is even easier. Took me only a few seconds to make this shortcut. Thanks 🙏 for the reminder :)

I’m glad that was helpful. The shortcuts app is one of the most overlooked hidden gems on iOS.

  • Michael has said that we don't have to bother with sizes as he have a script that resizes big images (see post not too many days ago). Well, if you don't just talk about resizing images in general. Or, did I misinterpret M?

Yeah @wim that shortcut thing has not been opened many times on my devices and the few times I have tried earlier has not ended well, I should probably have another go at it (I've never used Siri either so, not much for making things easier I guess :) ).

No, you didn’t misunderstand. But there are a few other reasons some want to reduce size, such as for viewing with less scrolling needed, and for the sake of people with slow internet. Michael’s file downsizing doesn’t happen immediately on upload.

The image should be in the clipboard so that you can paste it into a post.
