@sugus 😂😂😂😂
Good idea! I haven’t listened to industrial in a good while. Kinda miss it actually
There’s a Heron in the center. The shot is from a walking bridge over the Carmel River in the Palo Corona Park.
Love the look of this!
Bad juju after abandoning cat for early run 😬
Neighbour..[edit: took my iPad Pro M1 out for the first time to try a shot or two.]

i can’t upload images from app anymore, it states that file is too big …
@Michael any chance to in rease the limit for file uploads ?
A bunch of us have been having that issue since the forum name change.
A few times I’ve just screenshot the photo and cropped it on my phone, makes it small enough…
I did try a shortcut thing but they never seem to work for me…
I think people should find a way to reduce the resolution rather than @Michael changing the file size limit. I was uploading full res while in Mexico. I ended up going through and deleting all of them because they were full resolution.
I'd assumed the site was auto-scaling them down to web resolution on upload like many other platforms do.
When people upload full resolution, it makes this thread nearly impossible to load if you're not on a fast connection... not to mention the hit you're taking to data use.
I use the photomator app on the iphone/ipad. Probably my favorite overall photo editor on (iOS/ipadOS also available for macOS) Just select the photo in photomator, export, select 50% resolution, and save to photos. Easy and quick. 50% is still more resolution than you really need for web delivery.
I'm sure there's some free photo editor that'll let you resize for free. Maybe Snapseed?
I’m not done with the B&W thing, not yet.
XP4N - Contrast B&W - Ortho+
@Luxthor stellar shots indeed!!!
When I open XP4N I keep marvelling at how elegant the app looks on my iPhone. It really is a gorgeous looking app, all the better for its uncluttered interface. I keep going back over this forum thread and re-reading it, lapping up the info and admiring the different images that everyone is creating. I have tried all of the film simulations and am getting the hang of how most of them will look. I have found it hard to 'let go' and have usually also shot the unprocessed version in tandem with the chosen film type. Usually, though, the unprocessed Apple original is way over-sharpened and saturated.
It seems slightly bizarre that all this is in a forum for music apps and I have registered here specifically to contribute to this thread. I am sure that the app will gather wider recognition in photographic forums etc but for now I feel like we are all part of a cosy and privileged club.
XP4N is beautiful to look at and elegant in use and it makes me want to make images with it and to see how the photos will 'come out'. Just like the old days. The app has turned my phone into a new camera that I want to keep using.
So, thanks Bram for such great work and I really hope the app goes from strength to strength. And thanks to all the contributors here for showing us what is possible with XP4N.

Keep them coming. All great stuff!

Yes, storage costs money, and content stays here forever. So it only accumulates over time and costs only go up. Out of consideration for our host, we should take the trouble to reduce size of the photos before uploading.
The iOS Shortcuts app can make this easier. Here's a simple shortcut that reduces the size of a photo you pick, copies it to the clipboard, then opens Safari so that you can paste it into a post. It doesn't alter the size of the original photo in the photos app.
The resize action can be set to prompt you for the size or not, and it can be set to resize by a percentage instead, which would probably be better. I'd say 25% is more than big enough, but I haven't experimented much.
You can save Shortcuts to your Home Screen for convenience.

Nice !
@drez, @lsdphoto, @skiphunt, Thank you, 🤗 everything in the thread is fantastic!
Good advice.
I've also been wondering if there may be an ideal size in pixels for posting the vertical oriented photos. Many here are too large to see completely without scrolling which seems to wreck the enjoyment of seeing the full composition as it should be seen.
Obviously that will make them small but to me the whole point of this interesting format is for framing unique compositions.
I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's images. Some great photographers here.
Thanks, I changed to Chrome though 🤪 I’ll try to replace the ones I didn’t bother to resize in earlier posts.
I really enjoy those scrolls as I mentioned in an earlier post. There’s always the key commands for zoom out/in/reset which are - Command and -/+/0 if you view them on desktop. Those won’t do to zoom in though, if the image is reduced too much.
I'm not sure what Chrome has to do with this? If you mean the shortcut app opening safari, it's really easy to change what app the shortcut opens. Creating shortcuts from scratch can be a bit of a learning curve, but making a change like that should be pretty easy to figure out.
As someone who mainly shoots B&W, Luxthor and Sugus (especially) have really impressed me. And that’s not to dismiss the work other’s have shared at all, their photos just check all my boxes.
Thanks Wim for the shortcut, I’ll have to use that for sure. One of the things I like about XP4N is how little I have to do to the images afterwards, and transferring to the laptop is a non-starter for me personally.
My Fuji X100Vi arrived a few days ago, and I’ve been using it extensively ever since. Ultimately I’ve decided to sell it, and while XP4N was not the main reason for that (my A7CR just works better for me I’ve come to realize), it was a big part of it. If I want character film sims in a point and shoot interface that I don’t feel obligated to further edit, it checks all the boxes. Bonus points for the simple to use panorama field of view, just makes me think different as a photographer, which I like.
👍
I wouldn’t worry too much about image size for my sake – a year or so ago I wrote a script which automatically downsizes large images periodically because it was filling up the drive. So all good now.
