    Thanks, that’s a glowing endorsement! <3

Was in work on Xmas night (nightshift), alone, sitting in the canteen. Not the most interesting subject, but the light and shadows look super with the different film types. Very sci-fi.

  • @gsm909 those are super cool shots. i like the boxiness of everything in the distance, but the roundness of all the chairs and tables. The lighting is perfect. Great snaps!

  • Frozen lake

  • Iiim dreaming of a graaay Christmas,

You didn’t need a black and white filter here (Pennines) today😅

  • @cuscolima OMG what a beautiful shot. Just a perfect picture. The green is just wonderful against the snow. Bravo!!

@Krupa I love these! Fog is always cool, i drove through a lot of it coming back home on my drive back from Dallas. Those bottom shots really pop with all the detail and the grey. Such a good idea for a shot.

  • Still foggy, but I’m not up high enough to get fogbows, maybe I’ll brave the moors later…

  • I so wish there was a video mode !

As for the level, I would suggest a simple small cross that highlights the 2 cross points or highlight the already existing frames on both sides and top/bottom frame.

  • Great shot @sugus sometimes i think you're eyes are letterboxed!

  • I don’t think the site is downsizing these posts as was mentioned a few weeks ago. Or do they only get auto-resized after several days? This thread loads painfully slow now… as if it’s trying to load images that no one bothered to resample to web friendly sizes. I downloaded some of the most recent posts and most are full resolution. It’s pretty easy to resize them yourself and would be a lot cooler if folks did that before posting.

It’s a periodic thing after days or weeks or maybe even months.

  • Much love for this app

I did try, but my automation thing never worked, I actually thought maybe the forum had enabled instant downsizing as suddenly everything I tried was allowed again, rather than most being rejected as too large…

Maybe repost your easy shortcut to resize images before upload? I have decent internet service, and this thread takes a long time to load when users have filled it with multiple full-rez image posts, that are also full of multiple full-rez images.

Or not… it doesn’t matter much to me to be honest. I don’t visit much lately, but when I do, I’ve found clicking on new XP4N postings to be irritating. Maybe it’d be better to put a file size cap back on so that users would have to resize before they share?

Nice image, and thanks for resizing for web delivery! Makes it so much nicer to browse new images :)

Your images (and @Luxthor 's images) tend to be sharper than others posting here. Most of the most recent posts here look soft and/or out of focus, but your images tend to be acceptably sharp for an iPhone image. Are your sharpening them any? Maybe the others haven't been cleaning their iPhone lenses before shooting. ;)

  • edited December 2024

No, I don't sharpen anything. I just make the image brighter or darker. That's all. Maybe I just know how to use the iPhone 15.....

Joking aside, I shoot a lot of analog and digital medium format. Is that why? Also with the Camp Snap ....... A funny and good camera. Special when Black & White.....

Yeah, I don't know. I've pretty much decided that if I must get a new iPhone soon (mine is still working fine) then I'd likely go for an Apple refurbished 15pro when they're available. @Luxthor uses the 15pro as well and his images are also mostly sharp.

It could be that you're better at holding the iPhone steady for low light images. I can't tell if all the other images here that look unacceptably soft, are due to dirty iPhone lenses, or the user not holding steady enough, and they're getting a bit of motion blur. Or, maybe they're using older iPhones... but I'm still using an iPhone 11pro, and get mostly sharp images too.

I do make a habit of almost obsessively cleaning my iPhone camera lenses before shooting, as well as making sure I either stabilize against an available wall/pole, etc. or concentrating on holding as still as possible for low light images.
