I’ve tried those super tall photos but it’s complicated to have the phone near the ground and then press the shutter. How do yo do it? Were you lying down on the floor? 😂

Look at the stairs. He must have been standing 😉

Ah ok, he had the low ground 😅

  • New filesize limit for pictures? I totally understand, this thread alone must be requiring a dedicated server 😅

  • 2MB is a lot already, and Image editors can save the same size image with a slightly lower quality, try it until it's below 2MB.

  • My fault for not visiting the forum as much as I used to, but... BRAM BOS MADE A CAMERA APP!

@iansainsbury that looks like a screen cap from a 50's horror film. I love it!

I know! Instead of the hallway of an eight-year-old house. What an app :)

  • There’s no shortage of beautiful lighthouses in Portugal, but you have to travel there (although it’s a small country) under the right light conditions, and then come up with a picture worth posting. I’m just not on the same league as you guys

I was about to request they do that. This thread is painfully slow when people post full res, then someone replies with the image loaded again, then someone else makes a post with 4-5 full res images in it.

If you’re browsing the forum on an iPhone and accidentally click this thread…. It’s aggravating to say the least. Sometimes it just freezes up the browser altogether

  • If we reply to a photo, does the forum post it again or does it refer to the previous post? I mean does it waste again the space for the photo being quoted?

It doesn’t store it again. Most browser caches should also not have to download the image more than once per page view no matter how many times it’s repeated.

Excellent photo! Plus proof that we’re in danger of being attacked by giant lemon squeezers…

“It was 2025 when it started, giant kitchen utensils began appearing all over the Earth, threatening us all with salad dressings and complicated recipes. The horror!”

    🤣

  • Sharpness of images has been mentioned recently. It's a mystery to me how some contributors' shots seem much sharper than mine. I thought the idea of the app was partly to counter the over-sharpening that the iPhone does by default by introducing a mild blur. The app also doesn't offer the ability to choose the focus point, relying (I believe) on the hyperlocal point or auto focus by the phone?

I think that downsizing images also makes them look sharper? Though, I have always had mixed results.

This is music to my eyes, just look at those verses and choruses and that magnificent lead through the entire piece. 🤦‍♂️🤩
