  • Cubasis is acting very weirdly since I updated. Sometimes the sound get all distorted and I have to restart it. Other times it won’t record my guitar. Plugin crashing that never did before.

    Confirmation on my way back!
Several lags or outright hangs of Google Maps, even as it did not rain anymore and the sky was less cloudy.

I found the reason for this.

My iPad Air 6 is a WiFi-only device!
And I now learned that those don't have GPS sensors.

That lets me think about getting an Air 7, with mobile too.

I had to turn off “Apple Intelligence” on my M1 5th gen yesterday, after finally figuring out that IT was what was causing audio issues (crackling etc.)

I’ve been using mostly Drambo and Grooverider 2 lately, and only figured this out by launching AUM for the first time in months, when I noticed some of my older AUM projects had audio crackling issues where they weren’t before.

It was then that I noticed in AUM’s audio settings, that the buffer size was locked at only 160 samples, trying to change it of course gave me the message that it could not because another application may be using it.

After confirming that there was no other apps running, or apps running audio in the background, I did some searching and found the post, I believe by @uncledave, that shed some light on what the issue was; Apple Intelligence and Siri (which is now part of A.I. I take it)

Anyway, I turned it all off, and guess what… problem solved! 👍

I have been experiencing crackling in Loopy pro now since updating to IOS 18. I can’t find Apple intelligence anywhere. iPad 9th gen.

Looks like I already answered you here. Your iPad 9 has A13, so no Apple Intelligence.

  • Did I tell anyone the iPhone mirroring works well; even with an interface

have that too, but only when i use virsyn bark and virsyn reverb.
sometimes it works with them, then suddenly everthing sounds metalic distorted until i drop those two out of the project.
never had that at ios 17

Have you checked the buffer size/latency?

It’s being discussed in the Cubasis forum

  • It's been awhile since it's taken this long to flush out all the maggots under the rock of an iOS update. I've been feeling clear to go ahead within a couple of months the last few releases, but it's been more than five months and stuff is still showing up this time around. I try not to go this long before updating, but I also have a philosophical problem updating to OS versions with remaining bugs whether they directly affect me or not.

  • I’m sitting over here still scared to update to 16. I have too many apps that are working and am scared to break them. People have been having issues with GeoShred for instance.

  • 18.5 here @bpert and no issues with GeoShred… that I know of 🤔

I think they fixed things in one of the more recent updates. I’ve turned “A.I.” back on, and haven’t noticed any issues lately.
