As already mentioned, there are certainly some duplicates. I suspect, for example, that the "Sven Saur Collection" and "Discovery Pro Export" folders contain banks in which factory presets and others have been sorted into categories. Unfortunately, many presets have lost their original names, which doesn't make searching for duplicate presets any easier.
Oh definitely! I’m sure one could narrow it down to less than a thousand or so truly unique sounds. Or sounds that are pretty close.
I’m grateful for the randomize function here. I can usually find something close to what I want to start with, with just a few shuffles.

It’s not really buggy. It’s the preset system mostly that sucks. No AU parameters exposed. And the controls are micro and sometimes hard to move/turn. Often end up trying 2-3 times to grab a control. But it sounds good and is packed with some great presets. I don’t think they’ll update the GUI- but hopeful they get a better preset system. Who knows about AU parameters...
It sounds good I but never use the thing for the reasons @Halftone mentioned.

We now have exposed AU parameters!
And there’s a shit ton of them!
When I go through all my presets in Discovery and find the right sound to use in Cubasis 3, the moment I come out of the preset list and close the Discovery screen the chosen preset changes to default preset 001 on bank 0 and unless I write the preset name down - I will never find that preset without going through all of them again, this is a real nightmare and so much time is wasted, apart from that Discovery is a great app.
True but there's some other issues remaining to be fixed, sometimes when bouncing/freezing/rendering a track the wrong preset gets used being one that drives me nuts, have not been able to nail down the cause...
...there's also some issues restoring a session where 'wrong' presets get loaded so yeah some work still remains...
(I'm too tired to go in-depth bug-hunting on this one as it's very sporadic issues and not 100% repeatable).
Many of the presets also have the arpeggiator sync turned off by default so they play out of sync with the rest of the project...
Yeah that could be annoying, and I see @rapidfire has been having the same issue above.
While I haven’t run into this myself, hopefully they’ll get it sorted out soon. This update today does show some much needed progress and attention to their product.
Just updated to v6.2 and the presets no longer change back to default when closing the screen 👍 what a great coincidence of having this update soon after my post above!

Works fine in Drambo for me, on iPad Pro M1, iOS 26 (Discovery 6.2).
thanks @Pxlhg i'll troubleshoot and see if something else is causing it. seems to correlate with changing patches on Discovery but it is already a large project.

This synth app was brilliant before the update, but now it crashes inside Cubasis 3 for no reason! It plays one minute, the next time I press play it has crashed.
Well, there has to be a reason. 😆 Cubasis also had a recent update. Notify the devs. I have no problem in AUM or AEMS. 😎✌🏼
Yeah, maybe a Cubasis issue because I’ve been using it a lot in Drambo and AUM without any problems or crashes.
Thank you @anickt and @Edward_Alexander, you are both correct, I updated Cubasis this evening to v3.8.3 and the Discovery crashes have stopped.
