I like this one.
Reminds me of the jazz scenes.
Agreed.
Lolololol
Easily done.
theforumformerlyknownastheaudiobusforum.com
themovingfinger.com
musicwhereiam.com
but I would be perfectly happy with forum.loopypro.com
I quite like this one as well however as mentioned earlier it could be a bit long.
Damn.
The Audioc.at's got there first.
mobilenot.es is available
Trying some other angles on 'music' or 'audio'...
Two of my favourites
Haha! I like that!
I think this is really clever but…..
Always been one of my favourite euphemisms and get a comedy vote simply for that
Loopy Pro - even though I don’t use it I wouldn’t mind being called a professional nutcase. The “….from Loopy Pro” subtitle would offend no one and give you brand recognition
Being a guitarist, the other forum I use a lot is The Gear Page which is universally referred to as TGP
So, kinda boring but I’ll chip in -
Mobile Audio Buffs (MAB)
Edit. below @tahiche suggests Audio Buzz which I like better so-
Mobile Audio Buzz (MAD)
My last thought-
Mobile Audio Delinquents (MAD)
Yep. hepc.at is gone as well.
Audio Buzz
FingerMusic
Yeah, cats are quick.
Bleep Collective is good.
The Synth Pad
The Swipe
TuneTap Forum.
Soundswiper.
Sound swipe forum.
The Glass Harp.
Glassworks
Keep taking the tablets
Music Under Glass
Short Bus
The Sofa Studio
I also like Tapping Glass/TheTappingGlass a lot. An accurate description, but also mysterious.
I agree that the problem with AudioBuffs is that it sounds like it is going to be extolling the virtues of gold plated speaker cables and hand built direct drive turntables.
Yeah. I’m always thinking about it too. Thinking about it sure beats doing it.
I think if the forum doesn’t use Tapping Glass/TheTG we’ll see an app use it soon. As @Svetlovska says, both accurate and mysterious, a modern day scrying mirror
Yes, Tapping Glass does have a feeling of musicality to it. That's my favorite so far.
Or GlassTappers?
Do you know what they have planned for it? Still using it every day . Thanks
Exactly: John Dee’s obsidian scrying stone was precisely the image I had in mind for it. A black mirror, indeed!
Just call it 'noiseappjunkies.co'
I do feel this is the right to retire from constant forum visits...
...the forum visits has become more addicting than actually using the apps.
Thanks to LogicPro for iPad I've not bought nearly as many apps as I used to and my wallet really thanks me for that...
That does it, I’m not a musician or a producer or a programmer or the like, I’m a Glass Tapper🤣
“Mobile Music Forum” is the most simple and understandable, with the catchy abbreviation "MMF,” ideal for what we usually do on this forum. ;)
I believe for starters they intend to improve the experience for new users, better onboarding, etc. Beyond that, I’m not sure!
ask wim!
But anything should do really with the producer added to it
Lolololol
"Nice one" said in a Sauf East London accent.
I don't have any new ideas to contribute but would agree that the constraints should reference the fact that this forum is centered around mobile music generation, and avoid trademarked 'i' 'iOS', or 'Apple'.
While there don't seem to be any Android folk here, is there an explicit reason why they should be excluded in the future? If only to persuade them to get iPads instead :-)
I get there's a big difference between desktop and mobile capabilities, but think we could be open to any kind of mobile device.
It's for this reason that I like the indirect references to mobile with things like 'Tapping Glass', or the accurate representation of where many of us make music with 'Sofa Studio'.
Maybe we should have a poll sometime next week?
blackglassmusic.com
?
Whether accepted or not this name is coooool.
@Michael, there’s some good suggestions here but i think you’re better going for the Loopy Pro Forum. Keeps it simple and uses the same logic as it currently being the Audiobus Forum.
To worry that it’s disingenuous is kinda crazy - you should have changed the name from the Audiobus Forum long ago if you really wanted the name to reflect the content and themes discussed!
You’re paying for the site so it’s perfectly reasonable for you to have the free publicity of Loopy Pro as a side effect. Plus, it becomes a place readily available online where users of Loopy Pro can actually ask their questions regarding Loopy Pro when they want to; another positive side effect.
Speaking of the free publicity which comes from the name, maybe the new owners of Audiobus would actually want it to remain as the Audiobus Forum! Has that discussion been had? I can see why you might not want that though even if they did.
Personally, I’d caution about going for a name which is an in-joke amongst current members unless it’s really obscure and mysterious - Audiobuffs might amuse those already here but will it attract new members? Once the joke wears off…really?
Loopy Pro Forum gets my vote. Cheers.
Audiobuffs is a cool little insider joke but definitely a bit misleading perhaps for new members who would likely first encounter it on Google in the results for a search related to making music on an iPad.
That said, let's not worry too much. Gearslutz / Gearspace thrived, and it covers software despite having a name that makes it sound like it's all about hardware.
