As an aside, I wonder about the benefits of this sort of advertising. While it gets people talking, it can also make expectations that are beyond what may be shown eventually. Knowing Jim's products, I bet most here would just buy it anyway, so I wonder if this type of advertising works with those not frequenting sites like these? I also wonder about the composition of the market as a whole - are we just a small percentage of the music app buying public here, or just those addicted to app buying lol.

Fired up GR16… I would be happy with just Scale/Key quantize (Global), Midi Import, Ableton Midi Export, oh and a larger Piano roll/Editor.. It is truly an amazing app.. can’t imagine it as a host with some of the stuff in the video (Midi, Clip launcher, etc.)

I recall reading about Drambo somewhere and posting here. It was the first post and it went reaaaally far. I couldn't even keep up with you lads. I think it turned out fine and the feedback from those who got more involved made it into an awesome product

I was just speculating earlier in the thread that this may be a host, somewhat gadget like that has poison, pure acid etc, built in. given how the video teaser video seems to (maybe?) show those apps logos in a way that does not look like it is just the auv3s loaded.
The video teaser shows it as a host for apps other than Jim Audio apps, you can see a list containing other AUs from other developers as well.
ah ok, yes, that's it ... i dream here about something like reason ;-) very likely "groovebox" or even "daw" type of app .. if this is the case, i think it will be much more powerful than gadget ...
Yes, the two can co exist - good talk and feedback and over expectation. I su
ppose it could depend on the nature of the app. For example, Drambo is probably more than most even dreamed of. If for example Jim's wonderful new app (and the likelihood of that is good as he's not made a poor app yet), is very specific as opposed to the do it all wonder app I've seen some hope for, people may be disappointed. This won't mean that it's a bad app, no, it may even be the best of its kind in the whole universe ever, but some want something else.
It's a thing that seems more of a thing since the Internet became the main place for discourse - but hey, the positives are there too as you said!
