Maybe it’s a compressor 👍
Well if it is a DAW….
Yup. That was the gist of it. But no hype/thread has EVER topped Drambo. You could have finished a Leon Uris novel before reading that entire thread.
Oh man, I’m joining you in that dream.
Just so you are aware... the last time Jim Audio announced a new product was Oct 2017 and the app wasn't actually released until Sep 2019. This thing could be a year or more out from a release.
Your profile picture is exactly reflecting my feelings right now.
Sweet, two years of hope!
All the more reason this should be a full DAW then, yes? Lol
Really? I thought he had both announced and released Pure Acid in late 2019
You're right... I went back and looked and the announcement from Oct 2017 was for GR-16 and not Pure Acid. Sorry
Hype is back on the table!
We are simple people and easily amused.
God forbid people get excited about teasers.
"We're just normal men. We're just innocent men."
I agree 💯. Meanwhile, I'm working in Gadget at the moment. Just having a blast revisiting this fun music production environment. Once Jim Audio releases whatever this upcoming app will be, I'll most likely be on it. (I can never stick around in one creative environment for too long. Lol. 😂 )
😂
For you Sir there are no lemons only ‘nade.
That‘s not how i remember it though. I was day one auria (power) user and while there was a big hype (justified to some extent imo) but people here „screaming that desktop was dead and all producers will be on mobile“….??
That one thing on this page that always was the same for many products though: hype
Not really my cup of tea and often enough i was mildly annoyed by it but tried to see it positive: file under enthusiasm
About this new app right here: i would buy it most probably but what do i feel? Nothing. Stone cold. I don’t care how long it takes til release. After all this years and so many apps later there is a saturation for me. I buy almost nothing these days (but have a logic sub), not even on sale. My main focus shifted (back) to mainly hardware anyway the last couple of years.
...
::tips hat:: I try man, I try
TY
Fair enough. Carry on then 🤷♂️😅
Are we there yet?
Nope, but I will keep checking every day.
…
Just knowing that something new from Jim Audio is coming is enough for me. I’ll just keep posting until it arrives.
All work and no Jim Audio makes Ed a dull boy… 😋
Yesterday I saw an old dude on a mobility scooter with bass bins blasting out bass heavy electronica.
Yup, that’s gonna be us in the future.
Only with an iPad and keyboard fitted to it as well.
A good friend of mine (he is in his seventies) had a stroke a couple of weeks ago. When I visited him in hospital I was delighted to see his roommate of similar age sitting in the bed, cans on and noodling with a Mac and an Ableton Push 2 under supervision of his son. My suggestion to bring some gear and have a jam was deeply appreciated.
Sadly my friend got moved to a different ward when I visited him next time. The good side: He is back home now.
But hey - electronic music for the elderly could definitely help to brighten up some dull lives.
