Really digging the sounds coming out of this. Big ups to Baby Audio for bringing it to the platform.

Now with a stupid question. What setting determines polyphony? There are some monophonic presets amongst polyphonic presets and for the life of me I can’t see what determines this?

Bless your socks kind sir! Mystery solved :)

  • Wonderful demo! Definitely convinced me of its value, and I always enjoy your original sounds, sir.

  • Here’s my constructively critical review

  • This community can be a little intense sometimes. I get it—you don’t like the plugin for whatever reasons, and that’s fine. I’m sure there are a lot of things you don’t like. But do you expect your gas station to match the price of the one down the street? I understand if someone bought it, feels misled, and has legit complaints. But people who go on and on about the price or whatever else without even buying it are just looking for drama, in my opinion.

Plenty of ways to get informed before you push the buy button, thanks to Gav and Leo and Doug and the rest of the usual suspects, and if you push it and are disappointed, you’re out the price of a burger and a basket of fries. Disappointing, but not the end of the world, really.

I struggle with this mindset, as well.
I think you can scroll on if you don't like the price or feel it's lacking. These are not scams - people don't need to be warning everybody haha. If you don't find value in it - maybe someone else will - no need to broadcast your opinions over and over.

Wow man, I really love both versions. The idea is mesmerizing, and I perceive a “harmonious dissonance” (whatever that means haha) that is super creative and sweet!!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks :) yes, I think it’s the two odd Atoms voicings in contrast to the rest that makes it work. O and lashings of fx lol

  • I didn't read all the conversation, but is there any plan to make the presets window font size bigger? Because inside Logic Pro on a 11 inch iPad is almost unreadable.

  • Hey guys, we've just released an update for Atoms iOS that addresses a few things.

    • Preset browser wouldn't delete presets
    • Changing AUM presets doesn't actually change the sound
    • Poor performance when playing on-screen keyboard and adjusting parameters
    • Other minor improvements and adjustments

Any questions, or feedback please send it our way :)

You can browse the presets via the Logic Pro preset browser!
And yes, we intend to bring improvements to our iOS products over time :)

Hi Tristan, glad the preset browser bug is fixed. I notice though that in this version, there is still no per note CC74 control of filter. Instead CC74 control seems not to be enabled. Someone told me a few days ago that the desktop version does have per note CC74 control of filter, is that right? If so, could that be added (even with an option to enable/disable to the iPad version?

Hey @tristan, Thank you for the listing fix, 🫶 but patch browser is still an issue in the LP4i. I don’t want to comment on design, it looks fantastic like every other BA product. But functionality in this particular aspect is more of an obstacle than a useful control option.

Just about the only advantage I've found of using Logic's built-in 'Browser' for AUPresets is that the track gets automagically renamed to match the loaded preset.

Selecting a preset I the AUv3 Plug-In doesn't change the tracks name which would be a highly desirable functionality...

But I agree the default AUPreset names are a bit too long to be practical, removing the string 'FACTORY PRESET' from the AUPreset names would go a long way :sunglasses:

Why did I think that the old plugin port from the ’90s would have the worst plugin browser? I’ll choose Discovery patch management over Atom's every single time. 🤦‍♂️

OB-XD v3 uses the same method as Discovery for the presets.
When selecting a bank in OB-Xd the 'preset list' in the Logic Browser gets updated to reflect the presets in the currently selected bank :)

Just wish Discovery exposed the AUParameters for automation like OB-XD already does...
