Good catch. I’m exploring the Punch in fx which I’ve placed on steps and have activating randomly, so that’s what you’re hearing. The fx really can be too much, so I’m learning which ones to use.
Here’s another one using fx and conditionals.
Many thanks @jwmmakerofmusic @Gavinski 🙏🏼
Nice and chill track btw, I understand I’ve done similarly with effects used randomly and often need controlling in scope, but experimenting gains useful insights and happy accidents.
Thanks.
I’m all about Happy Accidents.
….., but unfortunately, the market largely works on emotions and marketing, not objectivity.
Because humanity largely works on emotions and vibes
True
I couldn’t resist sharing this demo 😧 -
😆
Awe, everyone is piling on this poor guy.
Indeed! 😂 Obviously you can make kool music with the XY, but that also means you can make very “questionable” music with it too..😉
It's so ethereal, like being transported to another plane of reality (Hell). You can tell a lot of hard work was put into this demo to make the expensive piece of gear sound like it's worth its asking price (sounds like a hundred bucks). I hope someday to aspire to this level of musical integrity (mediocrity). Ah, fond memories of my youth, playing music on a cheap Casio toy keyboard complete with two notes of polyphony.
😂🤣 I'm sorry. I can't help it. They spent over two thousand quid on high quality, and that's the demo they churn out? I can't even.
Oof.
😂 almost like this track we made drunk in the old analog studio in 1999 after listening to some REALLY shitty tracks in our A&R roles back then!
It was obviously a joke, that's not an official demo.
It was a joke? Are you sure the person wasn't being serious? 😂
Err I don't know. But you're right. It's 2024 and parody is often hard to distinguish from reality 🤔
Very much so. 😂 I mean there are ppl out there that take the Onion as serious news.
C’mon! Obviously it’s a joke!!!
Perhaps it is. 🤣 Still, my reply stands whether a joke or not. Still cracks me up. 😂💀
Idk man
I’ve seen some people , especially TE users as I am a TE fan (it’s the only hardware I use), making tracks with hardware that are insanely awful but they post them thinking they have a captive audience
Now some stuff I’ve posted wasn’t the best but I say it myself , when it’s not awesome
But these guys drop these tracks like it’s good
It’s really gear p0rn, in this case for TE heads or aimed at mocking them lol
I cancelled my XY order after remembering the Z wasn’t for me, this would be a $2500 thing I would end up returning; but nevertheless this is def the best sequencer and midi groovebox out there
Yes, your reply’s funnier, thinking that the dude was serious! 👍
I still would like to see/hear more about the XY, but there’s not too many detailed vids out there, maybe Cuckoo will do an in depth one at some point..
😂
I want someone to overdub a real TE promo with that demo track
YT “windowbed”+ “op-xy”
That should give you a lot to look at
Thanks for info @yellow_eyez 👍 - I’ve already checked those vids out, while useful, still not as in depth as I’d like

Nice! Very relaxing 🌅
Shame the track is private. I'd love to fave it. Reminds me of something Vangelis would've composed. Was this all done in the OP-XY, or did you record and master it?
Going for some funk:
That is slick mate! Did you use anything for mastering?
