Not as quick as I purchased after seeing it! 😅
Nice to see it on the Mac too. It sounds really nice so far on Jakobs video.

Can’t wait to play around with this later!

  • I haven't got to that part of the video if there is one but hilarious that Jakob put this linked in the YouTube description 🐐

  • Just saw this video pop on yt and hit purchase! Now I’ll watch the video haha

  • 🎄 arrived early!

Congratulations on what promises to be another winner for both of you, @brambos. The desktop App Store says this is compatible with macOS (M1 or better computer).

Has it been tested as an Audio Unit for Logic Pro and GarageBand? Will it validate in LP?

    LOL.

"I love the smell of solder in the morning. It smells like... victory."

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • I hit the Buy button after about a minute of the video. Really excited to have a play with this, it looks right up my street!

  • I’m loading this up in mirack 👽 dble the modular

    Atta boy!

Almost done with the video. This thing has a ton of great features. Excited to see what everyone gets inspired to create with this. 🙏🏽

  • I hit the link not expecting to see this available for iPhone, but then my eyes began to well up with tears. They BEGAN to, but they actually didn’t, OK?? I guess i shouldn’t be surprised with Bram’s history. Regardless, thank you @brambos for letting me gain more joy out of an iphone SE2, which all the knobs are legible with these aging eyes, and everything easily accessible on two screens.

Congratulations Jacob on your love child. I forget his handle, somebody help please.

I instabought it. Now to watch the video about it, lol. Well done @brambos ! 👏

EDIT: If the music at the beginning of the video is an indicator as to what Solderbox sounds like, this was definitely a worthwhile purchase. 😅 Lol. I love that style of Ambient.

It runs on Intel Macs too. 😎😎😎
Loaded up fine in GarageBand on my 2015 MacBook Pro.

  • Well, that's my evening sorted...

Yes, it should indeed! It takes a bit of extra dev work, but as an Intel Macbook owner myself, I know it's worth the effort to make it run on any (sufficiently recent) Mac :)

  • Fun! Instabuy!

  • Literally this afternoon I’ve been putting together a list of potential modules for a mini Eurorack system with a mate. So that’s on hold while I buy this first!

    Holy. Shit.

    @brambos @jakoB_haQ

Guys if you were girls and i was not married i would literally convert to Islam so i can marry both of you.

I think we have winner of iOS synth app of 2024 by large margin here.

    Amazing.

    edit:

    Found a bug

  • A universal app with these two names attached to it is an instabuy for me. Thanks @brambos and @jakoB_haQ!

Logic Pro 11.1 loads it fine on an M2 Mac, for those wondering. As does Ableton 12.1.1.

  • Of course I will get this one too!

@brambos typo on the product page?

  • To be honest, wasn’t initially interested in this for my own use… until I read about the generative, mutation, etc. possibilities of the pulse sequencer section of the manual.

It looks like it can do the stuff I wanted to play with in miRack, with only a fraction of the fuss and without all the extra complicated patching. Is that a correct assessment?

    Yeah, I’d go with that.

Works perfectly in Live 12 on my M1 Mac, but crashes trying to open standalone on my Intel MBP which just sneaks in on supported OS (10.15.7). No biggie, as I’ll be mostly using it as a plugin on the M1 Mini.

Seems to be a correct assessment from my viewpoint, or at least a nearly correct assessment. I have a feeling this is the "gateway" app that'll finally help me understand modular synthesis if watching Jakob's near-50-minute-long video is anything to go by. That video not only helped me understand Solderbox but eurorack-styled modular synthesis in general! Plus I love that Bram and Jakob added small inconsistencies in Solderbox to mimick analogue voltage and such (it's towards the end of the video). To make the machine "breath" a bit more as it were. Bloody brilliant stuff.

  • I'm so useless with modular but when I'm going through some of the presets made with this one I feel I need to learn (damn, it's too much learning way too often 🙂 )
