Micro Warmer too subtle? It is freakin' magic!
No worries, I really have TONS to make music with. And the new bass is simply awesome. And the kids are always awesome- I have two good daughters. Sports expenses mount quickly though, they're both good athletes, which they did not get from me!
Micro warmer- crank the gain and lower the output. The speed has to do with the attack and release characteristics. Turn the knee control up for some insane compression. This is always on my drum buss. I'd love it if they made the full vintage warmer available for auria, basically the same but multiband.

I can't make a call on that, Altispace is really nice though.

This was a polite way of saying "I'm a useless jerk and I need your help." I think I was being too English, we have a code for this type of thing, but even we don't really understand it. My bad.
Indulge me though, tell me what instrument/sound you love its magic on the most?

I had been smearing it over everything, but with a fabulous lack of understanding. I'll go back and run up a drum track and follow your thoughts above. I'm guessing that as my first FabFilters were Volcano and Saturn I was initially expecting a more nosily obvious look-at-me effect. Thanks for the input...

Thanks, yeah I had it on PC years ago and enjoyed playing with it.

It hasn't been updated for over a year and doesn't work with AB via ios8 - I'm on 7x though, so for two quid it's worth buying for a few hours of fun.
Yep ReBirth, is, was, a classic and yes does have it's problems, I think it was a testing ground for team Props, we can only hope they have learned from this, signs are they have with Figure, Thor, Take, but they have in my opinion sometimes made retrograde steps 'ignition key with Reason', did there reputation a lot of harm, but they at least corrected that.
BTW ReBirth is available free on PC, and I think you can still integrate it with Reason.
PS. Is anybody when posting getting a duplicate comment box.....Strange I am.
Also for any users of desktop systems, you can still pick up Xils CM on the latest edition of Computer Music Magazine, it's a VCS3 emulation, and if you scan through the back issues, Cakewalks Rapture Full Version is available with the Feb 2014 issue, sadly only works with Windows, unless your running a Mac with an older version of it's OS. Really like Rapture it's a pity Cakewalk neglected it on the Mac.
@JohnnyGoodyear - I like your method: smear it on everything, but with a fabulous lack of understanding. :-) My comment was just a way to express surprise since I have always felt that Micro Warmer is very obvious (and wonderful). And I had to dash off to work, so it was brief. Micro Warmer isn't meant to be a mangler. Mainly it can do two things; add presence and replace digital coldness with analog warmth. @mrufino1 covered the basics for the presence aspect. I love this on guitar, but it can be used on anything. And the "tape" settings handle the warmth part. That is more subtle I guess, but still wonderful. I use those settings on the master channel.
Anyone know how much Old Timer and Micro Warmer are the 50% discount please?
MicroWarmer says £6.99 in the iTune Store but is that the discount price or the full price?
That sounds like the discount price. In the US, normally $20 now $10.
OK, thanks. Much appreciated.
Given I have the Master Record App - do you think these necessary for me? Are they that much better pr just a little bit better than the results you can get from Master Record?
It is somewhat subjective. Just like with hardware, some compressors are known for being clean and others are known for the character they add to the sound. The PSPs tend towards the character thing. And it is a widely regarded sound; very musical. If you have the money you should consider grabbing them.

I do this everytime, with everything... Plaster mix effects (comp, lim, eq, sat, etc) aaaaalll over the place in hopes of things sounding better. Usually ends up shite obviously, but sometimes I get lucky though! Sometimes....:(
This week's been nuts. I even replaced my old, broken (only keys somewhat functioning), 61 key controller. First went with an Axiom 61 2nd Gen, but quickly changed the order over to a Novation Impulse 61, after seeing M-Audio's serious lack of support for their keyboards. The Axiom hasn't been updated for Win 8, Cubase 7 or anything, they've been dormant for a couple of years. While Novation have drivers and software up to date with the latest. Things like better key bed, smoother aftertouch, and built in arpeggiator on the drumpad section also worked in Impulse favor. Hopefully the thing will last at least a couple of years. These newer controllers, in this price range, seems to have a tendency to fall apart little by little from what I've read..
(Just a drifting comment..)
Thanks to all for providing feedback on the Auria PSP plugins.
Ditto that on the PSP feedback. Agreed with the comments on micro warmer. It can be dialed up to be quite obvious, but I mainly use it for a more subtle tweak to the sound, which almost always seems to have been a good decision.
Pro MIDI on sale at $3,99 from $9,99.

Sounds like you got it. I'll add that I generally find myself turning to it on bussed tracks but that could be habit: I used it for the same on the desktop for years and I'm a very boring man. I rarely use it on a single track but if I do it's to grit up a bright synth or put a little hair on my lackluster vocals. In recording bands days (desktop) I might use it in place of a sansamp to put balls on a bass guitar recorded via DI vs mic'd cabinet.
It really is wonderful sounding and I actually think it's easy to over do it. It's meant to be a subtle sort of effect.
Oh, well, ok then. ProMidi purchased. Ack, I'm such a sucker!
Ha ha. I have a promidi friend at last. Let us know what you think!

Not seeing the sales price in the US store yet.
Hmm, bought it in the US store on sale almost an hour ago.
Same here funjunkie.
I'm definitely in at the sale price, but it's odd that BigDawg is seeing it but we're not.
I just bought an called Pro Midi. Pretty sure I don't need it, we'll see, but was on sale so had to buy it. Yay!
Just saw the sale price....well, I didn't see it for long, as the price was almost instantly masked by the download activity!
