  • Macao, amazing Nave it is, but on older hw it crashes after few tab clicks, because of memory i believe

  • @Liquidsonics will the impulses load in Lives' convolution reverb?

  • If Live's will load wav files, should do! Though I've not tried myself.

Want to make some mS videos. The app is way deeper than it's simple UI would have you believe. At the sale price, you could use it for one good idea, never open it again and have made out pretty well. That is: if you dont own it, do!

THE HUNGRY CROWD MUST BE FED! VIDEOS DOCTOR!

@musikmachine & @Musikman4Christ There will be sales from now until the first of the year. Check out Vandelay if you haven't. The price of Rock Drum Machine was increased by more than double earlier this week.

    Oops missed this. Thanks telecharge!

@Liquidsonics Just went to buy MCR with my last £1.99 and it's gone back up; thought the sale was extended through Monday or did i misread that? Gutted if i missed it. :(

  • Thumbjam is for sale for $8.99. No sale price, but in my opinion, in terms of value it's like Black Friday pricing all year long.

I was watching Doug's video for one of the apps on sale. It seemed pretty cool, but then I realized I can get the most of the same sounds and so much more from Thumbjam.

I was considering getting Native Instruments Kontakt 5 for $199, which would be an upgrade compared to IK Miroslav, which I currently have for making music in OSX. I watched some videos, and it sounds better, but probably not worth the money in my situation. I'm very much the amateur when it comes to music. I noticed that to get the best out of orchestra sample libraries, you've got to put in a lot work with Mod Wheel and/or Key Switching and/or automation. Or . . . . I can just get better at using Thumbjam. Much easier to get some realistic sounds very quickly.

Thumbjam may not be on sale, but it's saved me from making some Black Friday purchases that won't improve my music making as much as more practice with what I've already got.

(Still did make some purchases: Nave, Laplace, and Midi Designer Pro.)

  • Still showing $2.99 in the US. I picked it up after recommendations above. Thanks guys.

Also decided to pick up Ruckers 1628.

  • Maybe a timezone thing, still before midnight over there?

Sorry this was my error, I misinterpreted the Apple system and didn't include the final day as it was an up-to and not an up-to-and-including setting. Whoops. So I've extended the sale until the end of this Friday (the 5th) by way of apology.

  • So the sales are over. I made out like a bandit picking up Nave, Tera, Addictice, Cube, Artic, MIDI Squencer with IAP, Korg Module witn Ivory, iGrand, Molten, and NLog.

How did you guys do? I'll be willing to bet Nave, Tera, and MIDI Sequencer are the most popular.

My haul: Nave, iSymphonic, and for PC I got the Audiority "Hybrid Metal Virtuoso Bundle" 40% off, which are 96 killer presets for 3 different vsti synths... I'm still working on the "virtuoso" part though. ;) The ones that got away: iVSC3 and iSymphonic IAP... saving those for xmas or the next sale.

  • So, @mkell424, how does Ivory compare to iGrand? Interesting that you got both!

The Korg Module/Ivory sale still has got ten days to run...

  • edited December 2014

Not an app but I just noticed Amazon has 15% off (for Prime members at least)

I am in the hospital today with a collapsed lung from a biopsy gone bad unfortunately. However on the up side I have time to shop more. Cyber Monday today right? I wonder what sales are coming? I got cube synth, nlog , the two bass expansion bundles for jamup xt pro. I also picked up a few more expansions for animoog which I will no doubt use more than all of the above combined. I still have money left on my card for dec sales.

  • edited December 2014

@Tritonman2 I'm sorry to hear about your lung. Are you going to be OK?

@mmp Ivory sounds a lot better. The sounds are richer with more depth. And Module has more options like reverb. I think it also has to do with the piano they sampled. And Ivory started out in the Mac/PC world.

  • @Tritonman2 Sorry to hear about your troubles, take it easy......and try not to give meaning to 'Shop till you drop'

  • edited December 2014

@Tretonman I agree with knewspeak. Take it easy good sir!

  • I wasn't planning on buying anything...

but NLog Pro has never been this heavily discounted and it has program change MIDI.

and I'm fascinated by the idea of convolution reverbs, although I have no idea how to use them.

LiquidSonics and NLog, thanks for the sales!

Blimey, I hope you're ok and they manage to re-expand your lung. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Yeah Nave for me, and SpaceVibe last week. Very happy with both, but I'd hoped a few more on my list were going to be discounted.

  • Thanks everybody, it has been re expanded already. This was supposed to be done and home the same day but I might have a bit longer to relax here is all and plus they have really good drugs here. When you are in a lot of pain always remember, drugs are your friends. In the hospital is when I love having my ipad the most. Id go bonkers if left with just television.

  • Awe man, Used up all my gift card this weekend

  • edited December 2014

Seems Nave is still on sale. Like most people I already have enough synths, including the just purchased Nlog, but they are just so darned fun to play with. Should I be concerned about all the recent 1 star reviews claiming various issues?

I had been hoping Samplr would be on sale with an IOS 8 update as well because I don't really have a sample mashup app (I passed on Egoist for now) but that didn't happen yet. So maybe I should use the $10 on Nave instead..

  • edited December 2014

Honestly, Nave sounded cold to my ears. Don't know why, but Z3TA sounded so much warmer. I got 10 bucks left also, waiting to see if Thor goes on sale, or should i go for iProphet?

  • @tritonman, hope you get out of the hospital well soon.

LiquidSonics and NLog, thanks for the sales!

It can be as simple as head over to Samplicity's website and load up the true stereo M7 IRs and forget about anything other than picking some true stereo files that sound nice! I find it easy to get good results that sound like unlike any other reverbs with those.

Good to hear others are fascinated by the tech. I find it quite amazing being able to run the really long multichannel convolution reverbs on my phone that caused the PC I originally developed the first Reverberate concept with to break down into a sweaty mess.

  • @tritonman2 Get well soon, but enjoy the quality time with your ipad and drugs too!

Sounds like you're in good hands but hope you're feeling better soon! :-)

It is, funny someone described Tera as cold but Nave is downright frosty!

Aurias IAPs still showing full price here...

  • @LiquidSonics oh well i grabbed Altispace just in case i was mistaken. It only uses 34mb of space though so there is room for one more, thanks for the extension! :)
