  • I tried MCR - wasn't as impressed with it as Altispace. I may just need to spend more time with it though.

  • Here is the link to the page I see and it is clearly $3.99 in the link in my browser.

  • I hear you @ChrisG - I've lost two firewire audio interfaces this week :-/ BUT - at least I found and eliminated a ground hum that had been bugging me for a while in Studio C. So, that's something :-) And I managed to figure out the MIDI routing to reenable an expression pedal to use as a Wah / Volume / controller with an amp / cab / FX sim application. So, won some, lost some :-)

Ha ha. I have a promidi friend at last. Let us know what you think!

I bought it myself, but am keeping quiet, figuring you eggheads will come through with the goods/skinny :)

    Yes. Please. Do come. :)

  • Does Pro Midi support humanizing/swing?

  • So tell me what you all think?

I think its a nice piano roll. The automation (3 flavours of drawing) is lovely. And I love playing clips as part of the creation process.

Ouch. :( Well, I also heard a short hum before it zapped my ol' keyboard. Those pesky hums..,

I like it! Because of the things you mentioned, with being able to just draw your automation really fast and easy. And I've been looking for a stand-alone lightweight midi piano roll sequencer on iOS. I can't quite get into the whole clips, scenes and whatnot yet though. I've always been using regular linear sequencing. I've been (still am I guess) trying to get into Ableton, since Korg loves them so much. Maybe I'm not just seeing all the advantages/disadvantages with the different sequencing "styles" yet. I want to like it since everyone and their mama loves Ableton these days, so I'll hang in there a bit longer. ;)

Unless there's no limit on the length per clip tho, and the dev could slap a overhead view/locator you could use like in a regular linear sequencer, it would kinda have the best of both worlds. Maybe it already does, I haven't delved that deep into it yet.

Micro warmer- crank the gain and lower the output. The speed has to do with the attack and release characteristics. Turn the knee control up for some insane compression. This is always on my drum buss. I'd love it if they made the full vintage warmer available for auria, basically the same but multiband.

    >

It really is wonderful sounding and I actually think it's easy to over do it. It's meant to be a subtle sort of effect.

Yes, my post should have been clearer, I meant to say that the knee control can add some crazy compression, not that it should always be used. And on bass it is also wonderful, I agree with you completely.

I'm cheating a little, posting this here, but there is at least a deal on the two touchAbles ... But really, just want to say ... those templates and other new features ... Jee-zus!

  • Yeah. Wow @touchable. Makes me want to use Ableton! I also think that's the first app I've ever seen that allows you to plug directly into a computer and do control stuff. I'm assuming you have to run something on the desktop to allow for that to work.

Wish the editor worked on the iPad but other than that, it's pretty much incredible.

  • Lemur has some good templates for Live can take some setting up though but yeah most of those apps have a server or daemon to allow communication between iPad and machine.

  • Arpeggionome for iPhone free at the moment.

Thanks! Weird, this one was free for like 7 months until April this year and I never knew.

WretchUp is on offer says basic Audiobus support can anyone offer an opinion as to what it's like, thanks in advance.

I was slightly disappointed. I like the effects, but you can't switch off or turn down the pitch changer, so anything you play gets mangled out of tune. That's ok if I'm able to choose to enable it, but if I can't switch it off then it limits what I can use it for.

Just noticed it's been updated has it improved the pitch change/select issue?

  • Auria PSP Plug-in is still going?
    It shows discounted price.

  • @knewspeak said:

I think they consider it a feature rather than an issue :) The update has added input volume and effect mix, which is very welcome, but it still wobbles around in pitch.

  • @monzo, thanks for letting me know, well at least it's still being modified, let's hope for the future.....

  • Oscilab going for $4.99

  • I just bought the 'Microwarmer' plugin for Auria on 50% discount.

I have Auria but almost never use it (always seems like too much work and a storage issue to burn all tracks out of Gadget or Nanostudio and into Auria).

So the chances of me using Microwarmer much seem low at the moment... but I can't resist a bargain / "investment for the future" :). Guess I could run a whole final mixdown through it.

It is. We really need a standardized packaged copy and paste. I pretty much gave up on doing full stem export into Auria because if I have to do it one at a time or use nanosync/ifunbox with a computer, I might as well mix the thing in Logic. But! You can make your own submixes by manually muting tracks in NS and exporting the entire mix a few times. Like, one pass for drums, one pass for all the low stuff, one pass for the lead and one for the bed. 4-6 manual copy and pastes aren't toooo bad.

But yeah, devs, hook us up with a packaged copy and paste prettttyy please. Not OMF or anything crazy. A presumed 'start at 0' zip file with wavs in it. NS, Gadget, Loopy, Beatmaker, Cubasis, Auria... I'm looking at you!

  • Not iOS but Waves plugins are on deep discount for another 3 days. http://www.waves.com/bundles Gold bundle is down to $200 from $800 and some of their individual plugins are down to $29 at Sweetwater.

I'm a noob and I don't understand what you mean by needing a standardized copy and paste. I've only been using iOS for music for a few months, but I was under the impression that if AB and IAA don't work, you can always copy and paste. I have Cubasis. Is there a problem with copy and pasting between apps too?

  • I'm talking about copy and paste for a collection of files at once. For instance, copying 12 drum samples to move from AudioShare to your favorite drum app, or 16 tracks from NanoStudio into Auria, all at once instead of the current one at a time method.

  • iVCS3 is still $5.00 off... Taunting me to make the buy.

Allow me to join the taunt. If you like vintage tone, add this to your arsenal for sure.

Brilliant synth - occasionally glitches on my iPad 2 but I don't care...

  • Was just about to buy Thor but a recent review says no IAA on ios8, did the update fix it? I bought ielectribe but it doesn't work well in AB and locks up Auria so want to be sure.
