Never mind! Monzo, I listen your track, quite nice.

It seems to me Soundscaper can only has gi...gi....ga.....ga....ga.....zi......zi.......lo.....lo......sounds!
I bought it but have no clue on how to go heavenly.

I'd suggest watching a couple of videos. I did this by setting the rows of address circuits up and then switching between them. you can get some really deep evolving soundscapes this way.

I did another thing in this, sounds a bit like the last one but I don't care...

Excellent stuff, i was thinking of doing something similar as well. I think you could do a whole soundtrack to an alien world just with this app, it's inspiring. I hope Igor comes out with more like it. :)

Thanks, I like your track too!

I could happily spend hours making soundscapes with this app, and I probably will. The results are great for listening to while I'm working - I tend to play the developers channel for some soothing space travel. I'm going to overlay some iFretless guitar on the next one, which I'll probably record separately and tweak with Dedalus. These three apps are big favourites of mine at the moment.

  • just have to say Soundscaper is genius! it's really one of the best apps I've ever heard for generating complex abstract soundscapes with random tweaking- a real masterpiece in aleatoric musical creation- you could make endless records with this alone-

  • Soundscaper just got an update today!

    What's New in Version 1.1

    ● Advanced control panel for all faders and rotary knobs opened by double tap.
    ● Simple automation of changing values in advanced control panels.
    ● Advanced control panels for filter and delay modules.
    ● New delay module with a smooth change of time.
    ● Additional low-pass and high-pass filters for delay.
    ● Phase shift mode for each channel in delay module.
    ● Changing oscillator without closing oscillator control panel.
    ● Mute and Solo mode for each oscillator.
    ● Option to generate oscillator parameters without changing current sample.
    ● Possibility to create new empty scene in the scenes manager.
    ● Additional samples in built-in samples library.
    ● Built-in description updated.
    ● Minor bug fixes.

  • It boggles me this one, but in the way that makes me want to go back...

  • Excellent update, got lot of features that were "missing"....(still wish for option to lock sample when randomizing)

    THANKS for the update

    Great update yes :)
This app is such good value! mute and solo are so useful...
@soundklinik Now you can, there's a new setting in the settings menu, a very welcome feature. (edit: in fact a brilliant feature, this adds so much)

I'm really hoping as well for bpm/midi syncing and midi options in the future to enable syncing with other audiobus apps. Doing it manually is tricky. I normally layer it with other apps with the plan to sync in a DAW afterwards, but would be great (especially for live use) if you could do this on the fly so to speak :)

  • Sample lock is under settings.

  • here's a video of some of the new features
I hope it gets midi cc controller support soon too :)

  • edited March 2015

apparently midi support is on the cards :)
(edit: by that I mean in development, to avoid confusion)

  • midi learn

Holy cow! what an alien frog sound! really for space ship game! Still, this app for me is gi gi ga ga zi zi sounds. Coundn't it be slow ambient beauty?

  • So after trying to wait it out I finally bought it !....wishing for some tutorials and techniques to create something more controllable ,manageable.....errr....syncable to some outside beat or even melodic ambience in some way.... It's all bloop blip radio out of the box !!!

The new delay panel looks like immense fun, nice addition to an already great app.

    Here are a couple

  • All seems a bit more glitchy and crackly on my iPad2 since the update. Shame.

Maybe, you could, you know, just a thought, GET A NEW THINGIE?

  • When I try to automate the sliders, it only goes in one direction to the end of the slider, then stops. Is there any way to get a continuous movement ala-ApeSoft/Amazing Noises?

YES BUT IT WORKED BEFORE LOOK. No I get it, my iPad 2 is slowly, but steadily being shuffled towards Monzo Junior so he can do his kids stuff on it, while I'm working on Mrs Monzo for a new iPad Air 1. I mean, 2. If I wasn't drowning under a mountain of work I might have bought it already.

Not yet it seems but hopefully in the future

  • Awesome thanks!

Tried again but this is no longer usable for me after the update. Before I was able to play it through an effect, and record in GarageBand via AB. Now it glitches like mad even played on it's own.

Annoyed about this as I wanted to use it in some new tracks. Completely useless, dammit.

  • How many new samples were brought on board with this update?

  • @monzo
Contact the dev. He is very responsive.

Same for me on mini w/ 7.

I'm not sure if I'll like this enough. How is the delay effect in it? Is it the fun-analog-tape-pitch-changing-when-time-tweaked type?

Not really, and unless you've got a newer iPad it glitch and crackle like a bugger.

I like it, and have used it on a track but it's a bit of a one trick pony so I haven't used much.

  • @monzo I see. Thanks. I'm on an iPad4, I guess that's to be considered older.
