Does the desktop edu version also give you free factory preset pro upgrade?

No, the pro upgrade has to be completed for the iPad Player.

Please iPhone version! Please not another iPad only thing!!!

We'll probably support iPhone 5 and above, 6 recommended :D

  • in version 1.1 we wanna add support for iPhone 5 and above, and also add "set list management" / favorites features.

    Also cannot buy expansion packs.

Let me paste my post from our facebook page:

Hi everyone, for those of you having issues with our first release version of SynthMaster Player iPad, here are the KNOWN ISSUES, we're working on them:

    1) On iOS 7.1.x in app purchase of the factory presets bank doesn't work, it might cause crashes or no products were found.

    2) Only the Pro Upgrade (Factory Presets) bank can be purchased right now. Apple hasn't approved our other banks yet, we're waiting for them to approve.

    3) Because of the above issue, existing SynthMaster desktop users can not download their existing preset banks from our server as well. Once the IAPs are approved by Apple this issue will be resolved.

    Thank you for your patience!

What about the "can't connect to iTunes error"? For some reason that error takes away the pro presets.
Running ipad air 2 ios 8.3

No it doesnt take away the pro presets. That should be due to something else, we're trying to reproduce the issue on our end.

  • Let me change the size of the keys so I can fit atleast 2,5 octaves or thereabouts, and make the preset list bigger/longer. After that I'm all good with this amazing sounding app :)

I have this message to when I start Synthmaster. Also iPad Air 2 with iOS 8.3...

But I've got the presets left... Synthmaster sound fuckin' awesome!
Bring us more preset and we will buy it immediately!

I've the same message every time i open the app but the pro presets are always there, iPad Air 2, iOS 8.3

  • @kv331audio, volume knob can be smaller and music selector circle be bigger, PLEASE!

  • @kv331audio Thanks for the release :)

I'm getting midi problems on both my iPads.

When you select a midi input channel other than 1 or all the keyboard keys stop working. also when I attach my QuNexus keyboard and play the notes are stuck endlessly for me, not sure if anyone else has found this?

    +1

Same itunes conection error here. Thanks for this release. Really nice sounds here.

  • No problems here with endlessly stuck notes using a few keyboards: CME XKey, Carbon49, and Yamaha MOX6.

@kv331audio, Yes, I have notes stuck experiences few times when played with midi and on Audiobus chain. Ipad Air ios 8.1.3

  • @Kaikoo thanks, glad it's not just me ;)

  • When the keyboard is "unlocked" it does get a lot of stuck notes when using the onscreen keyboard as well. I'm sure that'll be taken care of. Being able to move the keys around while playing notes is a must IMO, so that's a huge plus (far from all devs gets this).

@kv331audio Could you take a look at a custom GUI? (did it on GIMP to practise a bit). It's not perfect but you get the idea... The Poly and Tune settings can be on the menu...

    Nice job
    Bigger preset select screen please?
Just played with ZT3A at church this morning. Was going to use Synthmaster for some awesome Junk peas and strings but I backed off cause of the selection screen. I got to show it off to the bad though and they were blown away! Thick luscious sound! Reminds me so much of the thick sounds of the mighty Korg Trinity V3! My all-time favorite synth.
Even some bellish pads and other sounds sounded so sweet....deep low end with no thinness in this man!

  • Move the "menu, scale" etc buttons on top of the keyboard somewhere to make more room for keys. Perhaps something akin to alchemy player

  • Also for playing live there has to be a way to disable the demo songs. Imagine accidentally hitting that side of the screen in a live situation.

For playing live I am imagining a separate tab where you have access to xy pads, easy parameters and your setlist, maybe along with some notes you took for your setlist. Maybe we can even use the keyboard area for that tab too so we can use the entire iPad screen. I am assuming that you'll already be using a MIDI controller during live performance ?

Why dont you send me a private message, I can add you to our beta testers group and we can brainstorm ideas on our private facebook group :)

  • Regarding the iOS 7.x issue, I guess we fixed it. We also found a 7.1 machine so we'll use that for testing this week (y)

Cool! Will this need an app update?

  • @Korakios -- that looks really good, seems like a more natural layout. Nice job!

Has anyone figured out how to delete a saved preset?

Since there's no way to "favorite" a preset, I've been saving my favorites to the My Presets bank. As far as I can tell, there's no way to delete a saved preset, rename a saved preset, or alter the order of the saved presets.

Some simple preset management tools would be very useful, especially as we add more user banks. We'll need some way to navigate to and organize the presets we want to use for different projects.

  • For playing live, it would be good to be able to control every parameter With MIDI, right now its not bad but there are some omisisons like the volume, and the layers.
Synthmaster can receive midi program change?, if not that would be good too

  • Exactly! Great idea. I don't need the onboard keyboard as I am using a Yamaha MOXF6 as the main controller. So for live, the pads and the things you stated would be awesome! That would work and it would look beautiful to be able to morph the sounds with the pads and still play the chords on the controller. Nice!
