I'm referring to the per track settings. Perhaps I do something wrong ?... I'm going to download the update and see if it works.

Important! The few times I left the app in the background to put together these post the app crashed on my return. All I did was select it from the open apps, it comes to the foreground and then quits?

Added: it didn't do it this time, so it's not all the time. I'm going to give my iPad a reboot anyway to clean up things. (Always a good idea!). :)

More added: (Rebooted) it still crashes after leaving it (sometimes)

    Mini Retina, iOS 8.1.2

  • I download other people's demo, have several crashes in the template system,

    air1, ios 8.13

Thank you for the upgrade, anyway

So... The update is installed and I've rebooted my iPad... The problem is still there :(
Here's what I do : it's a 5 voices tune. Voices 1, 2 and 3 are set to "Audio" on channel "Auto" ; voice 4 is set to "Both" on channel 1 and voice 5 is set to "Midi" on channel 2. All voices are also set to "Pan Wave Midi CC" to (0) off.

I can save the wave set "taking a picture" or with the bleu arrow pointing down, the result is the same : if I quit DD, relaunch it and load my saved Wave Set (or even if it's loaded on DD startup because it was active when I closed DD) then all the voices are back to "both" with "Pan Wave Midi CC" back to 10... Only the midi channel on voices 4 and 5 are still on 1 and 2...

  • I'll see what's up with that...those MIDI settings are supposed to be saved...sounds like a bug in the CC assignment saving.

  • @technemedia, if you can fix that and if the "output" setting per voice could be saved too, it'd be so nice.

Thanks for your efforts, I really like your app. ;)

  • When I export a DD midi file are all the drums sent to channel 10?
I exported one and tried to play I in Roland SC but it only played channel 1 &2 and sounded Piano only.

  • I haven't been experiencing any issues yet here on 8.3 Air2, although only have done a brief test. I'm liking the new solo switch, makes it easier :)

I think it depends what you open it in, I'm not sure. If you open the midi file in MultiTrackStudio it splits the file into separate tracks where you can assign any channel you want to each track. I usually do an "open in" from Audioshare. I'm not sure how SC works.

  • It looks like the exported midi file assigns each track 1-8, regardless of what channel you've assigned it to.

yeah I always assumed there was no custom channel assignment in midi files by design, would be nice if there was... Do any other apps export channel info in midi files?

  • Good question @Carnbot. I'm drawing a blank, but if my senior moment fades, I'll post with what I come up with. I'd also like to know what apps might include PC with midi export.
