Can I have a total volume tweaker switch! I want to switch off all volume on Mixer page and When I tweak off the total mixer volume, I want to see all the indivdual vertical sliders off to the level I want it to! And when I want the Mixer volume to up, I want to see all 24 tracks vertical volume meter to up! Otherwise how can I record any individual track sound only when record the pattern! Yes, I know the solo and mute buttons, But total simutaneou Mixer tweaker is quick on 24 levels automation!
And is there a possible pre count choices on the pre count for metronome (1-4 times pre count) , I don't want to throw 2 or 3 empty box there for longer loop recording!
Why Waldorf design a longer loop recording on SongTimeline implicitly? You make longer pattern chain loop recording on songtimeline without give choice to select what pattern number I want to chain together for pattern loop recording! Yes, I know I can pull everything off the SongTimeLine, but why I can not give further order to the SongTimeLine to chain what part of pattern number to combine! Yes, I know there are repeating pattern number there, but why you don't intelligently bypass the repeating pattern numbers on SongTimeLine for easier multi pattern track recording! Hope you can address this issue!
Thank you, Christian.
XOR Groups are like choke groups I think. Maybe what funjunkie27 wrote is just that but in a scientific language. So I'm sorry if I'm repeating.
Anyway I could be wrong, I don't have Attack either, but I read a few bits from the manual and that's how I understood it - XOR Groups = choke groups
let me paste that paragraph in here:
XOR Groups
Assigns the selected instrument to one of the four XOR
groups. When several instruments of the same XOR group
receive trigger notes, the sounding instrument will be
muted by the succeeding one. Use this function to
program realistic hi-hats, especially if only the open or
closed hi-hat should be heard. This parameter can also be
used to create monophonic synth sounds.
Thank you Sir! But I want to say Oh, Dear! Everyone will become professional after Seal team or SAS training camp!
That makes sense firejan. I think we're talking the same...just from different angles.
@Christian
Love the app. Bought it within minutes.
Are there undo and redo functions? Would be very helpful.
Thanks
Thanks @Kaikoo If I have time next week or two I will try and do another vid
@firejan82 yes you're right. XOR controls the choke groups (4 of them) @funjunkie27 that is the function of an XOR gate but it doesn't quite match how the choke groups work (I know it's their wording not yours).
I'm not sure how they work in Attack, but if the CH xor saw a 1 for the OH, there would be no o/p for the CH if it were a 1 too. Probably too deep in the minutiae...as long as it chokes as needed.
Hi @Christian
A couple more feature requests for the future to consider:
Please allow muting and soloing of tracks within patterns, not just globally.
it's been asked before but allow looping in song mode and looping of selected group of patterns
Please allow ability to name patterns in the song editor to make song construction easier.
A great help also would be above the timeline to have coloured markers to delineate sections of the song (with ability to name markers)
thanks
Whatever you call them, the 'choke' groups (that's what I'm calling them make a lot of interesting difference....one of my favorite fiddle about features so far.
@monzo I have the feeling that if you go into it as a 'beer and noodle' purchase you will love it for its possibilities, especially as regards making things for Gadget. Having said that I see I have made a note in your file which says you are best encouraged via the 'oh please throw me in the briar patch' method and so I have the team here working on that...
Might as well call them that because that's how everyone thinks of them, no matter how they are labeled. :-)
Plus I'm not sure how to pronounce xor ;-)
Ha. It's kinda like exorcist. You say the name of the letter X and then you say the word "or".
For xnor, you say "X nor".
Lol...it was tongue in cheek, but I like your analogy to exorcist!
I know what an exorcist does, but what does an exnorcist do?
I'm sure there's a logical answer to that.
Why they cure you of xnoring when u sleep!of course.
I think I need a gentle push at least. Haven't bought it yet - Doug's vid keeps putting me off (usually they have the opposite effect), and am revisiting Elastic Drums tonight instead. Think this one may actually not make it onto my iPad....
No, there’s not.
same here Monzo only I ended up playing with Drums from Darwin inside of Gadget. I still may take another look at Attack at some point, but not now.
Yeah, I loaded Egoist up tonight too - haven't used that for ages. I think I'm in danger of never getting anything done if I keep buying new apps.
I've finished my 'Song of the Month', and started a new thing in Elastic Drums/Egoist and Darwin. Wouldn't have done either if I'd been fiddling with Attack. I'm not ruling out buying Attack as a 'treat' over the next couple of weeks, but need to knuckle down and get some music finished with apps I've already got as well.
@monzo Sounds like a good plan. Hell, anything that involves just picking a hammer and hitting a nail is good.
My relationship with attack is in tatters. Just getting bored with it to be perfectly honest. I have an idea of a bass line to drop on that drum groove and guess what 16 limitation. Double the pattern, cool, no loop. Fiddle fiddle.
Again, I wish upon a star...that gadget brings ielectribe to the table.
Amen
A drum thing (and therefore either ielectribe or a gutting and repackaging of it) makes perfect sense as regards upping the arsenal in Gadget (much as I love London as a town etc).
I'm pretty hopeful and sure they'll change the 16 limit with enough requests as it's early days for Attack, I'm finding that annoying too, surely a looping option will surface quickly.
I'm also finding that you can't start your song from a particular pattern. You have to go back to the beginning of the song which is very annoying. We definitely need loop in-out markers
+1
@Christian
Hi all
I find one big problem here, I can not record a loop!
Try making a 5 (1-5 ptn) empty box and chain them up for recording any long pad string or bass sound!
The first box is for your metronome timing, You left with 4 - 16 steps for a long pad sound recording. You then press red button and play button to begin your recording!
Now just press any one key at pattern PTN 2 to record that key to the end of pattern PTN 5
If you try to release the key before end of PTN 5, you will end up a very lengthy string or bass sound covering pattern no. 2 to 5 without any problem.
The problem is if you do continue holding your key and passing the limit of pattern PTN 5 , if you hold your key more than a tiny seconds, you will end up destroy your original long string or long bass loop, it becomes a very short loop begin at pattern PTN 2, it cuts anything of that long string sound!
This is not normal and not I wanted for, I want it end at pattern PTN 5, even the release timing is a bit late! Please address this issue! hope I was wrong with. People can not have accurate timing when that pattern timing is ended up, You can tell me to stop anything at the end but not ended up chewing my previous patterns recording work.
picture here, try out yourself with one key long holding for your recording and playback the loop.
please guidance!
Plus 1 and a metric fucktron to go along with it.
For all it's bejazzle this app seems to be missing a whole bunch of basic features.
